The side effect of my chemo has been really bad neuropathy in my hands. I'm losing motor function and my fingers are really slow to move. So looking for some easy to play games on my deck.

Past couple days I've been playing by Spiritfarer and had worked well with my hands ability

Thanks my dudes.

Maybe visual novels like Persona or Ace Attorney

Stardew Valley, Journey, Unpacking, Disco Elysium and Life is Strange

Death Stranding, if you can stand shitty FPS every now and then

Get well soon Sad

Sad to hear about the troubles you have. I was under the impression that things were going quite well. I do wish you the best

I second visual novels

Utawarerumono is my suggestion. It's an absolute thrill with enjoyable gameplay and a fantastic cast and a world of both beauty and brutality, a fantastic ost anda big mystery that spans through 3 big games. That's the downside i guess. They're quite long.

Damn, sorry to read those first sentences, man. Sad Hope it all goes well and the shit's gone for good soon!

Funny tho, first game I thought of was Spiritfarer but some mini-games can be quite hectic tho I think it didnt matter too much if you try hard.
I used to relax with Carcassonne, Return of the Obra Dinn, The Witness and Alto's Adventure. Pretty chill games but maybe the last one is too fast paced.
Those I didn't play but seem in the similar category are Stardew Valley, Alba: A Wildlife Adventure, Powerwash Simulator (dunno why I got so many recommendations for this weird "game"), My time at Portia, Firewatch, Abzu, Slime Rancher, House Flipper, Planet Zoo, Dorfromantik.

I've always heard really good things about persona. Are they continuations or can I start off on any one?

Yeah, from what I've read. There are themes that carry over, but stories do not.

It's a little dorky but it does get interesting (Persona 4, anyway)

It also runs really well on the Deck. Don't use English VO though Exclamation

Try Wildermyth, you can take your time and its an amazing game, I am not 100% sure it works on the Steam deck, but it is not resource hungry.

It involves a lot of reading, but you can skip a lot of the narrative that is not essential to the game, personally I love reading it

I was going to recommend Spiritfarer, as I've played it a few months ago and it still lingers in my mind. Never cried to a game before, let alone multiple times and I wish I could forget it just to experience it all again. If a game can be art, Spiritfarer is one of the highest form.

But good, you're already playing that one Smile

Nice point & clicks adventures:
Pentiment
The Darkside Detective (+ DLC)
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

Puzzles:
Da Vinci's Room 1, 2 & 3
The Eyes of Ara
Agent A: Puzzle in Disguise
Grim Legends 1, 2, 3

Hide & Seek:
Down in Bermuda
Building Full of Cats
Castle Full of Cats

Hopefully you'll feel better soon!

One Finger Death Punch 1/2

You said slow paced but the one button system here can absolutely work for most of the levels as well as make you feel like a badass.

1 and 2 are still amazing.

+1 for Pentiment, what a gem. Or in the same vein, Disco Elysium if you haven't played that already.

Disco Elysium is definitely the best candidate that I can come up with, but in general, both point 'n click adventures and turn-based RPGs are a great fit. Wadjet Eye games for instance are quality if you haven't played them already (especially Primordia), Samorost 3 and Machinarium from Amanita, all the LucasArts classics, The Longest Journey, STASIS, Syberia 1/2 and so on. Also INFRA, which is in 3D but still very slow-paced and surprisingly satisfying.

If you're into isometric RPGs I'd add the Shadowrun trilogy (especially Dragonfall DC), Wasteland 2 DC and Wasteland 3, the Expedition series, Pillars of Eternity 2, ATOM RPG and..well that would be a loong list but you get the gist of it. Razz Management/building games such as the Anno series, Tropico, Cities Skylines and the like would qualify as well in my opinion.

Best of luck SpykeZ!

You still on Chemo Spykez?
Had the same after my final dose(High dosage with stemcell transplant).
Took a couple of months to get back to normal, though i still get a feeling of numbness from time to time(but doesnt affect control).

I'm nearing my 3 year mark now, biggest problems are fatigue and memory problems.

Took me a year to start reading books again, but thats thankfully back to normal.

Aye, we're no longer teens. Get well soon SpykeZ.
If you like the genre, I recommend Desperados III and Shadow Tactics.

These are both games that don't require too many quick movements.
