If the deadline was to be met it would probably make big news, but yeah, doubt it's going to happen Very Happy I'm not going to bitch if it ends up being the case though Razz

You can also use DLSS Swapper

Yeah, the DLSS 3.1 replacement and the Engine.ini tweaks improved performance notably for me. Now I'm patient-bear waiting for the Digital Foundry deep dive into what all the issues are and why RT runs and looks like ass Laughing

Surprised
Quick question though: is it always better to update to the latest dll or are there specific dll's that work better for specific games?

The latter, unfortunately, some games were more specifically geared for a specific DLSS version, others not.. it's a bit of a mess Very Happy

You'll find threads on hardware forums/subreddits on every new DLL release for the most popular DLSS games - typically RDR2 gets tested the most often due to the initial horrid implementation, but it varies from version to version, one will be better in regards with shimmering, the other for sharpening, the other for ghosting, yet another has supposedly better performance but not for every game... You get the idea, and tbh a lot of it feels like placebo to me Laughing
I end up not using it as much as I can, the sharpening bothers me most of all. Very Happy

Sometimes it can break games, but most of the time it works fine. If you use dlss-swapper, I think it makes a backup of the version a game ships with, so you can always revert

What you can't do though (which I assume you know, but will mention anyway), is use these on games that support DLSS1. Eg: FFXV. It just fucks up completely

There was a megathread for compatability on reddit but it rarely gets updated anymore

This is what one uses now in combination with DLSS 3.1.1

Thanks for the tip, seems like it's time for me to give it another chance (apparently sharpness was removed after 2.5.1+) Very Happy

If you have a relatively new MB and CPU from last few years, you should have the option in the BIOS for something called like: resizable BAR.

Get GPU-Z and you can check if you can use it, if its on, and what options it supports:

-We don't control what happens to us in life, but we control how we respond to what happens in life.
-Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. -G. Michael Hopf

But does this game support resizable BAR? Or do you need nvidia profile inspector to force it?

Source article mentions "any game":

But since the source is wtftech... Laughing

Adding that

r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0
r.Tonemapper.Quality=1

to the engine.ini rids the game of that chromatic aberration that engulfs the entire screen and makes everything blurry, and weirdly can't be disabled with the corresponding ingame setting

it also disables the vignette

Those artifacts can be indicative of some shader compilation/driver-level issues - Forza 5 had a long-standing similar issue with this for months that had to do with VRAM (I think ?), only solved by a new NVIDIA driver.
That is, if that's not your GPU being unstable, the regular stuff.

If it's literally just green dots like dust, I guess it's SSAO fucking up or something ?
