Laser focused on PS5... I mean what the heck is even the point of that? Just doesn't make any sense. Either very small indie company... Now that's bull, even indie companies manage to release on all platforms at the same time, or exclusivity deal
Yep.
Which is why when it's released ~1 year or more after on PC, they'll try to sell it for 80€ or some retarded SE price and then be surprised that people won't give a shit about it

Of course. Yoshi went out of his way to tell you to not wait for PC and buy PS5 knowing fully well PS5 will run like shit and maybe you'll buy it twice instead of once. And people worship this dipshit who releases games in a fashion that is out of date by now
tbh i love/loved FF. played almost all of them but the release pattern on pc just pisses me of thats why i didnt even bother with ff7 remake. it will have 3 parts the next part will come out on ps5 first with again exclusivity, then it will have epic exclusivity and after that another game has to release still with all the exclusivity shananigans so we get a full story. i mean wtf? if squareenix doesnt get bankcrupt at that point ofc, because they still wanna go all in on that nft shit.
so yeah for me square enix is a shittier company. not hyped for this at all since it could be a new and different ip.
plus square either makes some cheap remasters nowadays or new games that are either good (rare)or totally shit. nothing inbetween.(e.g. the quiet man, forspoken, left alive, balan wonderland etc.)

I'd like to give FFXV another shot, but the cracled steam version was plagued with stuttering (which was oddly absent from the microsoft/windows store version if I remember reading right? too bad that one wasn't cracled).
That was with my old system, it might run much better with my new specs but even installing it is such a slog due to, uh, unrepackshit-it.
And besides there's tons of more interesting stuff in the backlog anyways.

I tried FFXV the other day, laptop and desktop. Works well enough on both, but it still feels like it should work a lot better.
Once I was reminded of the car you're stuck in for a huge chunk of the game, and seeing the 4 boy band members standing around it like they were gods gift to the world, I shift + deleted it. It's the same with FFXIV. These games are so far off the deep end now, I find it really hard to get into that sort of thing. It really feels like it's made for children, I don't know how any adult could take the story in a game like FFXIV seriously.
I wasn't on board with FF7Remake at the beginning, but I love the idea now. Having established characters helps as it gives the developers less room to create shitty characters like in FFXV.

The ps5 thing you can't fix, but the epic exclusivity makes it a must or skip game.
those FF16 devs sure talk a lot about a version that hasnt been directly confirmed by publisher ... they even mentioned it on SonyJP's official blogpost

Then again:
Spoiler:
I don't know how far you played the main story and expansions of FF14, but it's easily the best and most adult story out of all FF games.
Going back to playing something like FFX after it is impossible.
I got pretty far in the main game. I bought all DLC but never got to it. It's not just the story though. It's the way it's presented through characters, the way it's told, dialogue, voices, what people are wearing, how certain races look. It comes across as extremely childish.
I personally thought FFIX went too far down that route (even when I was a kid) and that FFX was an improvement.
It's another reason for me as to why FF7 is so good. And lo and behold, the only annoying characters in the remake come from the new characters they added. Moggie, Chadley, Andrea Rhodea & Roche.
Most games were masterpieces until the MMOs came along. This isn't even mentioning the low bar set by how MMOs look, play and function in general.
Having said that, XVI looks better than anything that came after X (minus the combat)
Yes, 25 fps with drops to 20 will be perfectly fine
Definitely and honestly it would really help if they actually revealed what engine they are using so far we just know it's apparently not Unreal Engine or Luminous Engine.
If it's inhouse then we are very likely in for another shit show and i honestly don't even believe it's not based on Luminous/Chrystal tools all things considered.

Did they say it's not Unreal Engine? They did their recent games in UE (FF7R for example) and even thought about porting FF15 over to UE at one point.
