I dont like the idea of instant/fast travel. It kinda detracts from the realism. I guess its a nice option to keep everyone happy but I dont think I would use it. One of the great things about Morrowind I found appealing was the vastness of the world and how long it took to get to places which I can understand some people found frustrating. Plus Im the type of gamer who has to explore everything and using instant/fast travel would certainly add a lot more play time to the game.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

What's this about? I hated those fast travel options in the original as well.

same here. I love to explore things on the road. Walk hours on the morrowind land
But, i can understand why they do fast travel. When walking your way, you bump into quest and maybe it gets a mess in your questbook/journal.
just an idea

I totally agree with you m8, im the same. hope u can disable it. In a way i think the instant travel is a bit liek a cheat. I think if they have this in the game they should atleast maybe have it implemented in the way that u need to buy a potion that then takes u to a town

Uhm, isn't it already an option? I thought you could click on a city on the map and you would instantly travel there... but if you won't, nobody is forcing you to click it?

I am all for instant travel. Exploring is a lot of fun, but once I've fully explored an area it is nice to be able to skip it to save precious gameply time.
It doesn't really detract from the realism either considering it is swords and sorcery. I do hope teleporting is a spell or a scroll based ability; like a "town portal" scroll etc. That would make more sense.

Fast Travel for me too...
Sure it's cool exploring an area for the first time... but having to walk the same route over and over is what i hated most about morrowind. It's just so boring, it can ruin much of the game for me... so i think it's really cool having an option to skip those...
And if you don't want it, just don't use it... noone will enforce you to using this...

I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, the fast travel only works if you have been there. So when you are traveling to a location you are going to have to fight your way there. But if you are close to death and have no health potions you will be able to click on the map and go back to the last town you just left. I don't think you can just click anywhere on the map and appear there. At least I hope not that would be stupid. I also agree that they should have implemented the Diablo II Town Portal Scroll. Just clicking the map and appearing somewhere else seems like it will remove you from the fantasy world. Also, like a few others have said, just don't use it.

From what I understand, you can jump only between cities or villages, you can't just pop in the wilderness. Also, you don't have to visit the place to appear there. If you have a mission to go to X, and you never been in X, then you can jump stright there....that's what I gatherd.
