The whale 6.5/10. Amazing performances of course, but meh.
Tick box X,Y,Z to receive award X,Y,Z. Profit.
Didn't exactly feel like "the story i've been waiting to tell because it's so interesting / heart breaking / important".
It was pretty generic, should've asked Chat GPT instead.

Ta, hadn't heard of it. A nice feel good movie 7.5/10, I liked the way the actual guy narrated over the top of the movie.
In a similar vein but a bit more quirky:
The Pez Outlaw 7.5/10

Babylon 8/10
This was pretty good! Bombed massively, I'm assuming because it's 3 hours long (even though it flies by pretty fast), and it doesn't really have much of a story.
The first part is a rollercoaster of visual madness, it's extremely over-the-top, but you just gotta go with it. It slows down in the 2nd half, when it focuses a bit more on the different characters' arc.
It's also very funny. The part where Margot Robbie goes to 'fight a snake' or the recording of a single scene that keeps failing for all sorts of reasons (reminded me a lot of Living in Oblivion with Steve Buscemi, highly recommended).
It's not unlike Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, perhaps. Not for everyone, but if you're into it, it's brilliant.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

John Wick 4 - 8/10. Magnificent action movie, i'd give it 9 if it weren't for the cringe factor in certain scenes and how terrible an actor Keanu is, but the movie was solid for what it want to be

John Wick 4 - 7/10
Unpopular opinion. Don't get me wrong some action scenes were superbly thought out. The old house part was awesome, for me best part of the movie. But overall it was too over the top, the bullet proof suits and how much punishment people in them could take just watered it all down. I prefered when John was this precise cold killing machine and the fights were more personal and not JW against half the city shooting all over the place like in 80's action movie. Overall it was Crank but less self aware.
So in my personal opinion JW 3 > JW 4. Also Scott Adkins was fucking hilarious. And the OST was pretty great too.

Avatar Way of Water - 3/10 for me, I got roughly 20 mins in and was just too bored to continue. Ofc impeccable production quality hence the 3. I am a huge fan of all things James Cameron but this a simple transformers movie with no real story of its own.
I just don't find computer ppl and machines battling each other interesting enough to watch.
---
Funnily enough switched to "Strange Days" which was a movie Cameron and his then wife developed. 9/10 and aged well, fantastic movie albeit on the long side but never boring.
---
From the present reviews ^ I'm guessing Wick 4 is 2 hours of bollywood level unrealistic gun choreography and A4 page of dialog? am I close?
