at 1080p unless ur a cumpetiteev gamurrr that needs 600fps on low settings at fortnite a 3060 is more than capable at delivering high 60fps in most titles.
Shit optimization seems to me is here to stay especially with nvidia pushing power hog features that make the dev's job easier while passing the cost to the consoomer and suits rushing product out too early.
tl;dr if I'm paying above midrange money I should expect 1440p/4K to work

After using a Steam Deck + mid-range gaeming laptop for the better part of the last year, I wholeheartedly agree.
+ I think DLSS/FSR are a blessing and a curse. It's just making devs lazier.
Price difference between 3070 and 3060ti back then was ~50€. But if it was nowadays sure, even the normal 3060 is a better price/performance option.
Not back in 2020 though (the ti, I think the regular 3060 was released only in 2021).

Yup! 2013 and forth (until last year apparently) we, as PC gamers, had an edge and programmers made games with platform care. What I feel is we're drowning again in an era of coding mediocrity

If the game looks like something I would play with a controller, I will for sure buy it for PS5, and it will have smooth frames and GOOD ENOUGH graphics, comparable to what I can push with a 4090 on PC with ports that are so poor, it should be illegal to launch games like this on PC.

Seeing as the 4070 is comparable to a 6950XT in rasterization, this test by HWU should provide enough answers.
Keep in mind that if you were to play at 4K, the difference would be smaller. But if you then add DLSS, the difference becomes more pronounced again, since the GPU load is reduced.
