...wouldn't even surprise me if it actually is CGI, but portrayed as something more retro (because that has "value", while CGI doesn't), i mean it's probably a TON easier to do than using puppets and stop motion or wires and whatever.

“What blew your mind the most about the mechanics of Grogu’s performance?” asked host Sean Evans. “You know, where you have one technician who’s doing eyes and mouth, and another technician simultaneously doing the facial expressions.”

“There’s two of them,” Pascal said. “And one, there’s a remote.” Pascal explained that while he holds Grogu, his ears and face will move because he’s being controlled by someone, but he’ll feel like Grogu is alive because of how real everything looks.

“Then, for a good closeup, he’s connected to the Pentagon. It’s like these wires and that’s how you get the really detailed eyebrow movements and eyeballs move around and he’s a very cooperative and fulfilling scene partner and acting partner. It’s pretty crazy.”

yeah i've seen scenes with it, how they do it so i don't mean everything, or that it could have changed over time + there are more puppets than grogu too (so maybe he's mostly done with a puppet and other puppet-like creatures are CGI, hard to know)

I think it's 50/50, some creatures like the workshop ones in this season seem puppetry to me. Some others look CGI, but then again... LAIKA used some CGI shenanigans -the least- to improve characters and animation in their movies. Maybe we're at the point of the uncanny-canny valley puppet side Razz

Loved it, but indeed the 3rd season was not as good. I think they only had script material for 2 seasons. The story line was to get baby Yoda back to his family. Then we got the ridiculous season 2 ending, when Luke Skywalker and R2D2 picked up the baby. 3rd season: Baby is back, no explanation.

Since Trump grabbed the American republic by the pussy, my interest in and support of that former MMA MAGA lady has been greatly diminished.

Fat bitch, aka Gina Carano, starred in a 'conservative' movie no one saw, this one:

My Son Hunter

Fictional retelling of the lifestyle and scandals of Hunter Biden, son of US President Joe Biden.

Also nothing says America first than having the entire film being shot in Serbia and only using foreign labor because it's cheaper.
