Yes it runs on Yuzu and its a lot more stable no gfx bugs, and with 30fps mod it has way less drops, but it seems it crashes after second shrine if you have fused weapon in inventory.

It does run on YUZU now. But the 30fps mod works ok outside but it is a shitshow in a shrine. Also when you save the date of all the saves is 1/1/1970 ???

You know YUZU devs have already been messing with it behind the scenes.

Still stutters pretty bad. Tried it on both 7900X/3080 + 13700K/4080. The stuttering isn't as bad as modern PC games, but bad enough to wait for something more stable

It runs reasonably well here, however i have a lot of visual glitches with fires and half the world flickering in the distance.

Well at this point I'm going to re-visit it next week when the release officially comes out.
I read that the one out now is early release and Nintendo will have a patch for it after release??? Not sure if that is true but seems likely. Plus by then YUZU devs will have implemented their hacks or re-visions.

The 1.1.0 patch has been distributed to preloaders and is already out. You can patch the pirated copy and the "Yuzu fix" has been updated to support it.
That said, the emulation has lots of glitches.

Ryujinx is usually better when it comes to compatibility and overall quick zss of development progress, but it's a much smaller team than Yuzu's, unfortunately.
Give it one or two weeks at the very least, it probably won't be very enjoyable until then - and it took a very long time for BotW to be playable with decent performance (perhaps partially coz WiiU's emulation of it was perfect already, but I think it's a tough one to iron out).

Ryujinx has better compability for sure, but unless you truly love, and i mean truly love the stuttering of the recent PC games this ain't for you.
If everything else looks good, Yuzu Vulkan with asyncronous shader building is the way to go

When saving on Ryujinx all my save files are 01/01/1970. would this have any problems?

Try to load them in yuzu as they're compatible and you can hotswap between them. If it works then it's no problem

That's quite the weird attitude. Why not just implement it as a temp solution? |
Like you're saying, it's not a lot more than an attitude hehe
If you want to know what their reasoning about it is, from https://blog.ryujinx.org/vulkan/ :
Spoiler: | Is asynchronous shader compilation (async shaders) planned?
No. With the use of both parallel shader compilation and SPIR-V as the shading language, shader stutters should be relatively few and far between on a solid system. Skipping a draw to avoid a stutter is ultimately a hack, and not every shader can be compiled asynchronously anyway. Such a setting would never completely eliminate stutter, and in most scenarios it would simply cause major graphical bugs for very little reward.
That being said, the lead developers are not against an outside contributor trying their luck in this field. If the solution proposed meets their standards and works completely globally across every title then good luck to them!
On the flip side, there are other ways to further reduce shader compilation stuttering, and stuttering in general. Rest assured, the lead developers are aware of this. |
Are the stutters few and far between as they claim ?

It's absolute horseshit. They're not making money so i have no clue why they'd lie like that. Try out Xenoblade games on Ryujinx and see how fun it is with it's incessant stutters. They're in for a very rough time if they think they won't need to implement any hacks whatsoever for their emulator. I don't know of any modern-ish emulator that doesn't have hacks for certain troublesome games.

Yes the 1/1/1970 save file is really strange. It is the only YUZU Emu game that does that. I'm sure it will be fine once the Day One release comes out.

So which emulators do you recommend? I mean for each platform you want to emulate. Any new good ones out there or just go for the oldies which has been updated? (emulators for any platform that is..as in arcade, sega, nintendo, commodore etc etc). I still use the same ones ive always done, but looking for more options.
edit: Just noticed MAME 0.254, so thats one I have to try out asap. I don't think i've used a recent version for atleast 2 years.
Edit2: I need new ones for both pc and my raspberry.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
