But... you gotta be a Diablo 'nerd' to do it, yeah...
Sorry but that dude is full of shit, place some random lows in the party who do no dmg and die fairly often. The HP scales so much that he will choke on it like there is no tomorrow.
Total Clickbait BS !
you do realize its impossible to be there and fight the boss solo cuz you automatically get into party with people in that area?
And you do realize that he is completly Solo as there are no yellow dots on the map, can easily be archived with NAT trick. Thats how you get solo lobbies in GTAO aswell.
Use translate if needed, as of now there are just shit looking (majority) overpriced (?) skins to be seen. No indication of P2W, doubt it will come to this. Pretty sure they are aware of what happens if, after the mobile trash gained so much good publicity.
Battlepass stuff seems more and more attractive, 10 bucks every 3 month for 10 armor sets across all 5 classes.
jesus.. even the reseller keys start at 60 bucks...eat a dick blizzard
This game is only on battlenet, there are no cheaper keys. We get cheap keys with steam games because multiple sites can get keys either from the publisher or from cheaper regions, and they can also eat some of the cost themselves because each key site competes with each other.
In this case, just like it was with Epic in the early days of its cOmPeTiTioN with Valve, there is no competition and cheaper keys for anyone to buy because the game is sold in a single place, in this case Battlenet.
€ 19.99 DLC - Paladin's Prophecy - adds paladin class + class questline
€ 19.99 DLC - Monk's Mercy... Mmm... otherfucker + class questline
ONLY 9.99 Skin SETS - WoW famous weapons (Thunderfury, Dirge, Assbringer, etc.)
I think am buying this game, though. We'll see at what price.
A game like diablo needs a source of income besides the retail price, otherwise the devs stop adding content and it dies.
Paying for a class is fine imho, although 19,99 is a bit much as you suggest.
Skins/cosmetics: couldn't care less about that, if it pays the bills (for activion and sharholders), why bother.
That said the game, the base game selling for a record price and still including micro transactions, is expensive. It's still cheaper then WOW though and that's an 18 year old game.

Rmember that they sold the necromancer in D3 seperately so i wouldnt be surprised if they do it with D4 again. So premium price, battle passes, ingame shop, full blown expansions and class dlc.
I agree with them 'needing' MORE money for new content.
And... TBH... /sigh... don't make silly faces at me, but... I think an AAA game that allows more than 100 hours of play and is TRULY of high quality, in 2023, could be priced at more than 50 Euro. IMO, eh!!11
I find this game (so far) really good. It has a LOT of stuff / details that I personally appreciate. There's a TON of content apparently, and it's a step up from Diablo 3 on almost... all fronts.
The only problem is... how fast will you get bored IF there is not much diversity in gameplay / builds / classes? We'll see...
69 euros is nothing for a game where you sink hundreds or thousands of hours time. Personally I bought the ultimate edition so I can play the game early.

Which you can also with just the deluxe edition. IMHO the Legendary edition stuff isnt worth it, all you gain is the 20 first levels of cosmetics, no ashes till you have reached the needed char level and an emote (apperantly priced normally at 25€ bucks, 2800 Platin).

I hate people focusing on time spent in a game. Who gives a shit? give me a good 10 hour game and I'd much rather pay 60 euros then for a shit 100 hour game. Wasting my time isn't a bonus and most arpgs aren't exactly quality gaming for most of a playthrough.

That was not the point. This point is:
Who the fk plays 100 hours of a game he/she doesn't like A LOT?!
If you rack up 100+ / 1000+ hours in a game, then it means you bloody LOVE that game... in ALL positions.

A lot of people.
I have hundreds, maybe thousands of hours in WoW and I definitely do not love the game, it is top3 most played game in terms of game-time, but I don't think it would even make top 300 games if I ranked them in terms of fun/enjoyment.
Same for BDO, lots of hours, little actual enjoyment.
MMOs in general are big on that since they by default require huge time investments, and pray on peoples psychology to keep them in the loop.
ARPGs aren't all that different, especially not these days with them being a quasi-mmo.

I have 100s of hours in games I wouldn't buy for myself simply because my friends want to play it.
I am 'meh' at best on POE, but got 100+ hours in it. I had 200+ Hours in FarCry 3 and its a game I wouldn't even pirate for free if it was just me playing it.
I have god knows how many hours in LoL, and I do not like that game...at all in anyway or form. But son wanted it, and to play it with me. I learned one guy (Heimendinger? The mid robot pet guy) and just played only him.

When you game 40+ hours a week with friends, and 16-20+ hours of them are on weekends. You play things you wouldn't buy for yourself.
I'm not interested in this game. But friend really want to play it, owns a PC store so gets codes for it from 4000 series cards and is giving me one to play with him on it. Probably will have 100+ hours in it. As I'll play it to enjoy time with friends enjoying the game. And less me myself wanting to play it.
Same as going to a pub you normally wouldn't because your friends want to. You are going to have fun with friends. You are having fun being with friends and hanging out. But would not go to that place by yourself.

Nope, woudnt do it. My Mates asked be a dozen times to hop into D3 for years and no, i didnt gave in. I can still have fun with my mates even without playing the stuff at the same time just by hanging out in the discord.
D4 on the other hand finally appealed to me and now we can have fun together.
But i agree if you had said that sometimes you play games that can grow on you or not. For example i play now genres that a friend introduced me to which i woudnt have testet/informed of before hand and ended up loving them.
We have fun by playing games. That's our 'hobby'.
I have two hobbies. that's it, seriously. Gaming and playing with woodworking in my garage. I dont go out places but once a month to get out of cabinet fever, I dont hang out with friends in person (well rarely..but it usually relates to woodworking since we cannot do that online).
1/2 my friends I have either never met in person, or we are both anti-social and live in the same town and prefer to hang out online. My two best friends I have met one for a week 14 years ago (he got me my work from home job and trained me in person). The other I have never met in the 20 years I known him.
Why I hate when new people ask me what I do for fun. Telling them "Video games" doesnt convey the level of depth I am into it as a hobby They go "I do too". No you play CoD and candy crush a few hours a week. My downtime IS gaming or cutting wood into piece to make things.
My days are: Wake up, work (and game when slow), if friends around play games, if not go piddle around in garage shop. Eat dinner, sleep. Repeat.

What you describe is the nature most adults in their 40s run into, what you discribed doesnt much differ from my daily routine. Yet my statement above stays and wont change !
Another example i have for it is "When your friends jump off the bridge, you gonna jump aswell ?"
Depends, if we dont die or get injured doing it, and we have fun doing it together. Tell me the date and time to show up for the jumping.
Maybe its how I play games with friends that makes the difference. In games that have progression, I fly past everyone else as I spend WAY more time in it than they do. So I help them.
Like in an MMO I'll end up dozens of levels above them so I come help them with whatever they are doing.
Or D3 I got to the end..whatever its called where you run the instanced paragon (?) levels before they even finished the story. Just so I could come help them kill bosses and get better loot.
Good example is No Man's Sky. I have 75.7 hours in last 2 weeks in it steam says. Id say a solid 50 of those hours was standing around with two friend that just got it watching them do the starter missions and building the first base, helping them with questions they had, or stuff they couldn't find they needed. None of those 50 hours was me 'doing' anything productive. It was me hanging out watching them experience the 'newness' of the game.
Some people play games for the story and mechanics. I never care about story in games (i'm the guy slapping spacebar trying to skip dialog and cutscenes). And mechanics only matter if its a solo singleplayer game. I play to enjoy/help friends have a better time in it, since I can invest WAY more time in it than they can.

My friends, playing for hundreds of hours a videogame that you don't like, means that something is... you know... NOT OK?!
You are either insincere (you actually have some kind of fun), addicted to something (routine or some psychological hurt) or really unaware of some issues (mental).
