No, man, that was just a 'sucks for you' moment, sorry.

Still... at lvl 34, I slowly find WT2 annoying:.

On WT2 also. It's like that. You'll slowly start doing shit damage until you find some perfect loot which brings you back into the game. Its a tug and pull war throughout the game it seems. I'll probably be done with this game when i'm done with th story. Can't be arsed with this dynamic loot crap and ever scaling difficulty anymore.

why you all are playing on WT2 if its clearly too hard for you

I mentioned one scenario with unfortunate scaling, how did you manage to come to the conclusion that WT2 is too hard for me? Laughing Laughing

Such a shame though that WT2 isn't implemented better. I like the idea of a harder starting difficulty, but atm it only feels liike a waste of time.
That's the problem with aRPG's for me. These games make you feel like it's all about endgame cause then you can hunt for gear and use all the mechanics the game offers.
So i'm doing Wt1 to progress fast, have a lousy campaign and probably quit the game 10 levels into endgame cause endgame is a boring grind like in any other aRPG Laughing

Can you jump from WT1 straight to WT3 when you reach lvl 50 ? Do you lose anything by doing that ?

You can and you dont lose anything, WT2 is just a beefier WT1 with a bit more XP.

I have the opposite experience so far for WT2.
Playing a necro minion zerg and 'corpses go boom' build and 45 atm, and wish I could go to WT3 before 50. I have only died twice, both to my own mistakes or not paying attention.

But other than those two times, WT2 feels like easy mode. Even the survival wave things on this difficulty is summed up with: Stand in one spot, hold left mouse, point at corpses on ground until time is up.
Bosses are the same with adding in: Do the same as above, but get pushed around by big attacks so move back where you was, and continue the same thing.

I just saw some people mentioning getting a ghost horse as a drop from the world events and from the pictures it looks way better than the white pre-order horse or the Deluxe Torment horse. Now I just need to figure out if it is from a specific event and try to farm that one if it is for that drop.

Going with Rogue I pretty much struggle only on some bosses on WT2, but for now I only die max 2-3 times so didn't had to lower the tier yet.

About those strongholds do i even try it alone? If not can i get into party with random ppl?

So far:

Played WT2 until lvl 34:

• sponge-mobs hard hitting
• slower progression on map (quests, story)
• faster leveling
• strongholds are tough (impossible if not in the right build)
• if you are more casual often feels like a waste of time (takes too long to kill some mobs)
• no justified rewards for difficulty
• 1 legendary drop in 33 levels
• need to play a build that is required / works and not one that you enjoy (as role-playing)

Switched to WT1:

• mobs are fair (easy)
• faster progression on map (quests, story)
• more drops, loot, items, gold from more killing
• strongholds are very doable as solo
• 3 legendary items dropped in 4 levels
• play as any Bugs Bunny build you like

Atm playing as Necromancer: lone wolf / no minions / Shadowmancer

damn this game needs button to hide UI, some sceneries look absolutely fucking gorgeous, bumped with that nvidia overlay, just a little bit exposure/contrast.

and engine is fucking amazing, optimized to the bone, getting crazy fps and fully playable in 4k with frame generation/dlaa. i would love to play baldurs gate 3 in that engine with active pause, instead of that cartoony turn based shit that lyrian created, meh.

the story/lore/overall atmosphere when you take the time to absorb it - its fucking great, dark fantasy without any bullshit butterflies or other crap from d3. its liteterally night and day in comparison, more akin to d1/d2 atmosphere which for me only 2 games have - diablo (1/2) and dark souls (more like 1, cuz 2/3 are bigger and more "grandiose" or whatever you can call it).

btw drops arent affected afaik, only exp/gold so your legendaries are random, but u will get more items cuz ure killing faster on wt1 (clear speed is higher). i started on wt2, its going ok, i enjoy some difficulty, gonna beat whole game on it. getting straight into groups, combo some skills, 90% of stuff dies, finish rest with that basic skill, it almost doesnt feel like hns game when you get into flow of combat lol

The Butcher jumped on me on WT2 while I had already aggroed 2 grp of mobs + elites + their 3 bosses (1 with fear).

Was trying to run past them, as I had disconnected and had to reset the fucking dungeon. (there's some server lag lately, I noticed also). Man, I just don't have the patience anymore to redo / replay dungeons / same content again... I JUST CAN'T DO IT.

Ohh, that's rich. I had a problem in one keep where it scaled up mid level and you keep harping on this WL2 crap, now for the second time. You drew the wrong conclusion, be the bigger man and say you were wrong. Be mature.

There are a few arenas where they spawn.

The game lacks so many basic qol features:
- You can't teleport on your friends straight away, you always have to go to the waypoint
- You can't inspect items on the ground
- You can't see debuffs on the enemies
- You can't properly see procs
- No transparent map overlay
- No loot filter
- You can't see the stats range for items
Etc
