It's not solid if HC character dies to lag. It's not solid if you get rubber banded here and there. It's not solid if blizzard takes down the servers unannounced to patch, or announce on twatter or something retarded like that.
The game is fine, the problem is Blizzard with it's infrastructure and their routines
much endgame stuff is just blatantly broken and not playtested/theorycrafted
allres worst stat in the game
watch how leveling from 50 to 100 is gonna get xp needed to level cut in half cause casuals will never reach those levels before start se1
ran around the map with a few buds doing the lilith statues, we all said after 3 hours wow, glad we dont ever have to do that again ... , is that how one is supposed to feel after playing a game ? no its just a fucking chore ... inventory management is a total disaster , crappy lego tetris

Yes..if you ignore the entire actual game and hyper focus on one aspect that is made to be found as you play organically. Ive found around 1/2 of them not even looking for them, just stumbling on them.
You ran around 3 hours in a hack and slash leveler, not trying to do any hacking, slashing, or leveling....what did you expect?
If you are collecting them all first, you must be focused on pure min/max stats. Doing min max by jumping ahead to collect the things scattered around the entire map IS going to be tedious...
Much like I too like to play GTA5 and ignore content to focus on collecting all the Hidden Packages before I even do the campaign, then tell everyone the game is boring, tedious, and a PITA to spend a night doing

I also believe they did some tricks to prevent launch problems. I hardly see other players in game, guess this is on purpose to prevent problems. They are just running a basic game service with as little player interaction as possible.
Most times I log in there are already ~8 people near the initial portal, and more in the world
Spoiler:
You can also press tab and go to 'local players' to see who else is around you
This game has a solid base for developing into excellence on all fronts.
I predict MUCH more features, qol stuff, gameplay changes and activities in the future for this.
But, it's up to Blizz to make the... right choices.
It actually doesn't.
The itemization is poorly designed from the get go. This is an extremely important aspect for a H&S which they designed in the most Asian and simplistic way possible, a constant ladder (like in Lost Ark). There's very little depth or variety to it. The itemization needs a major overhaul to to reach this excellence you are talking about.

Those statues are such a poor design choice.
It's obligatory. Free, stats, must have. This is a stats based game.
You could just find them on your own, but you'll end up missing a couple of them. It's not that they are that hard to find, but it's easy to miss corners, the map is huge. So you're obliged to use a map and do them all, so you can't play this game without using spoilers. That's not a lot of fun, constantly switching to your browser to get the stuff done.
What the fuck do devs thinks that it's a good idea to give stat boost with "secrets". All started with Zelda BOTW, now almost every game has it.
Skipped the betas but played a bit on a friends account, honestly it's fun and a bit better then D3 but not 70 bucks fun especially with all the bs mtx, battle passes and shit will maybe get it in a sale down the road.

EDIT
I am sure it's a good argument, but personally I play the game for setting / story / good gameplay. Unless new stuff comes, not gonna spend more than ~100/150 hrs in at launch.
I dunno. I have beaten the campaign and gotten to level 55 and am on Tier 3 nightmare. There's definitely something missing. I hate the items for the most part. I am getting quite bored already. Can't really put my finger on exactly what is missing. I like the way the game looks. Like how combat feels. Hate the progression and the way the world levels up with you. Haven't ever been a fan of that in ANY game. Im hoping it grabs me at some point. Loved Diablo I and II. Loved Grim Dawn and POE. Got my money's worth out of Diablo 3 (literally. From selling stuff on the real money auction) but thought it was lacking. In this one, they got the setting right and the look. But, I need a gem tab.

They are not obligatory at all. They are not pokemon dont HAVE to catch them all. Even getting them all let's say they are evenly distributed on stats and there is 160 of them. That's +30. (some are not stat boosters)
For comparison. If I change gear so I remove +40 intel by taking off my boots (closest to 30-32 I have to remove) my damage bonus from intel goes from 35.6% to 35.2%...not having them is not going to make or break the gameplay.
Now they absolutely are a 'must' for hardcore mix/max mentality players only because they can and it's not 'max' without them.
They work as intended I think: You find them as you play so your alts later, where +40 is a HUGE difference starting off makes starting a new character easier.
But after level 50-60, that +30 is 'meh' for even being able to notice it's there while playing, if at all. (I cannot organically tell while playing if that 0.4% extra damage with my boots on vs off, is doing anything. I just know its there mathematically)

for alts they are a much needed relief for not finding a good base dmg weapon. and yes its pretty much mandatory to do on ur first character because good luck trying to figure out which ones u missed once u get a few alts going. Not to mention the reputation bonus aswel it unlocks for ur alts which gives them like 10 free skillpoints
are u having to much fun ? sorry, bliz taking away ur toy
what a bunch of cucks work at that company lol , in stead of just gathering feedback for se1 patch, disabling several aspects completely and nerfing the shit out of builds , pathethic
so what if there is exploits, its pretty much a single player game with coop, not like anyone is gonna play that lame pvp more then an hour except the 0.0000001% of the playerbase, let people have their fun, they sure as hell earned it for the 70 eur they payed for such badly tested game
You guys keep using 'mandatory' I don't think it means what you think it means.
I have one character, I haven't found but about 1/3 or 1/2 of them and am 65 now. My friend thats 53 has found like 4. Both of us are doing fine gameplay wise.
Now I am not defending the game, I only play it because it was given to me and I can have some fun with friends. I have no urge to play it on my own. But all this talk of "You MUST do this, and that" is not a must. Only a handful of us have half ass, if at all, done those things and not having any issues beating things.

The only good thing about D4, that it will funnel all players to PoE 2 or any other aRPG for that matter. It's a golden opportunity for GGG or other devs. Metacritic D4 user score 4.8 There is no way of denying that number and D4 will be a benchmark what not to do with aRPG genre.

tbh im a patient bear gamer and buy games on sale. so im gonna wait on d4. but as far as i can see the game seems nice. Okay there are things that are annying and might stop people from buying the game like mtx for cosmetics/battlepass/always onlne/huge price etc. but seems like thats a norm for arpgs nowadays.
PoE isnt that much different is it?
Anyhow i even like to play B-Grade arpgs (currently playing wolcen) planning to buy last epoch if it gets on sale(summer sale). Finished shadows awakening, inquisitor martyr lastyear and planning to play darksiders genesis this year aswell. If D4 is shit what are the games i just mentioned according to you?
Anyhow what's your big issue with the game anyhow? why dont you elaborate?
Ok I thought it was just me and lucky run but:
(Act spoilers)
Spoiler:
Did anyone else find the final 2 or 3 Act 6 fights too easy? Lilith was a push over on my run. But I chalked it down to RNG and luck when I did it. But I've helped 3 friends now do the final boss, and everytime was anticlimactically simple. I dont think any of us used more than one healing potion to do it. All the bosses actually in dungeons, capstone, and strongholds seem underpowered. The hardest one was the 3 headed dog/wolf..thing, and only because you have to chase his ass around town to kill him.
And what it is with bosses throwing healing potions out like lawn sprinklers? At the end of everyone I must have 20+ potions they dropped on the ground.

I don't think the campaign was designed to be challenging.
It's a short story campaign, cause the good stuff is endgame. There you'll progress not by skill, but spending a shit load of time. To safe time it's best to do an easy routine, like running circles in a dungeon:
When you have spend enough time to get to level 100, something that will take you 100+ hours, you'll meet your challange, a boss fight, and then you're done.
I find Cultist Refuge a better one to do this is, might be i like the 'square' dungeons more or I can kite them into a clump into it better. But the density is the same and easier to corral them into one room, to me and my playstyle anyway.
It's the one I farm anyway.

I don't think so, a lot of players do not want math, complex decisions, bosses that 1 hit And do t telegraph attacks with red overlay shit all over the screen. I'd prefer the D4 players stick to Diablo than coming over to POE requesting dumb changes and features.
Not every single game has to be exactly the same.. I know crazy concept but it is actually okay to differentiate, have a different target audience.
