The game has been developed from the ground up with pad accessibility in mind. Controlling your marines is highly intuitive on both keyboard and pad.
Q: How is the game played?
In Aliens: Dark Descent, you control a squad of 4 Colonial Marines, issuing orders in real time. You will infiltrate large open levels filled with wonders from the Alien franchise, while annihilating enemies with your squad. Strategically plan out your raids to complete as many objectives as possible in each run before extracting your team to return back to your base. Slow down time with the press of a button to make strategic decisions during combat. Extract your Marines safely at the end of long missions and watch them gain experience and level up, unlocking precious advanced skills and specialties. Make sure to monitor your Marines’ health and stress levels on the field however, because death is permanent in the game and losing your units forever, a real possibility.
The Otago ship, which has suffered serious damage after crashing on Moon Lethe, acts like your base of operations. Over the course of the game, you will rescue specialists and salvage repair materials, unlocking many perks and improvements that will directly impact the performance of your marines. Expand the armory to unlock weapons, the medbay for faster recovery times between missions, the workshop to unlock specializations and perks and more.
I was about to bash this game because I thought it was a turn-based crapola...

What a bunch of garbage. “Tuckticool sturrtagey” where xenomorphs stand around and wait to get shot, until their turn arrives, and then they take a chance of 10% to do critical damage by their fangs. Much tactics, such strategy, soe true to franchise
Can you blame me, from the lack of gameplay videos? There is a “gameplay date reveal trailer “, and that’s about it, from a quick look.
But it appears this is more of a Dawn of War 2-esque game, which is great. The only fear I have is that this is coming out on consoles too, with hurrdurrtrollers, so xenomorphs are likely going to be moving soooeee slllooooeeeee, so that the derpas have time to react and issue commands. Hopefully, on PC, it's possible to control the speed of xenomorphs.
I'll absolutely grab this one on sale in a year or so.
watched few reviews, looked really fucking horrible on those. looked better before in trailers and so on. anyway might check isodemo cuz im big alien fan, tho game feels totally medicore/aa segment, undercooked.
Constant moving camera with wasd/mouse is annoying, no option to center camera on characters, very annoying camera rotation on map, i set rotation to one angle, oh , look animation, lets rotate the camera again. And zooming in and out, animation again, lets zoom in again. Constant clicking twice with right click also annoying, they couldn't program to hold right click and move characters that way?

Hit "Home" / "Pos 1" and it centers the cam on the squad leader.

The Tutorial was *** stupid too...
How to move the camera, press QWA ( You can't do anything other than those tasks before you continue). Presses Buttons.
Was watching Wab playing this and one of his teammates was actually CRYING at some point.
That was so fucking cool, man! Glad there are devs with balls that dare to do new - even if small - things...
thats actually nice little stuff. but saw that in the summary screen before battle its totally silence instead of some good music and models look like fucking ps3 era. yaaay the details
I switched 'left mouse btn' with 'right mouse btn' controls and now game is stuck in the tutorial area when asking you to interact with the camera controls.
EDIT
Hm, wonder if something's "off" with the cracled version. GPU is running at 100% no matter what: menus, low / high settings.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
