Well to be fair it's not a porting issue, hell the PC version is still better then the console versions which run at a much lower internal resolution with upscaling and still have framedrops.
Optimization in general is absolutely nonexistent it performs worse without upscaling then anything else i can remember and just looks average at best for a non open world game.
They are really lucky it's otherwise relatively bug free and the game itself is actually fun.

Performance is terrible.
World is empty and non-interactable (can't even climb a damn small car).
Script / dialogues is written by 15 yrs old.
Characters are... fitting stereotypes and agendas.
No walk on PC (you run around like a prick everywhere).
Shooting feels great.
'Sound' of shooting is excellent.
So... early access much?
Finished the first playing solo on cracled version, had a good time with it.
From what you mens are writing, seems like the best idea is to wait a few months until performance improves, assuming that will happen at all.

The game is solid, the performance is subpar at times. They improved a lot over the first game. Better progression, better combat, more variety in world generation, plenty of secrets, etc.
Since armor is more for fashion now, I was hoping we'd get much more armor choices. And maybe back pack varieties that match the armor. Fun game, but I only play it when my brother or friends are on and haven't really progressed my story mode.
Performance is crap as stated, but also something annoying when playing coop is that what's on screen may be a couple of seconds behind. Like I can die from a boss's weapon smash a good distance to the left on my screen. Like it doesn't recognize my position accurately. Weird.
