But... there's also something fundamental about Skyrim's engine / art-style that... 'repulses' me somehow.
Same, the textures seem too over saturated, or overly contrasting in range on the same models..or something. its like they tried to replicate a gritty medieval version of Thomas Kinkade art style (which some people love, some cannot stand).
And all the NPC look like they are highly intricate folded cardboard models in the way they look and move.

No reason to rush no, but lives change and its not for no reason many projects end up fizzling out. Scrap over ambitious additions no one asked for and im sure this will be more timely
played some Skyrim, been a while. combat feels terrible (tried some mods too), world is laughably tiny. i don't get how it's still so popular, i would much rather just replay either Witcher 3 or elden ring.
Because it's a casual, accessible, simple game, that fools you by letting you win and succeed at everything without effort.
I fear Starfield and the next ES game are following the same ideology.
[!] "No, man, we can't let players run out of fuel for their ship! We don't want them to be responsible, mindful and resourceful! No man, we just want them to follow the arrows and win almost instantly...!" ...
5 years after release they will add the following paid DLCs:
• Survivor DLC 1: now you can run out of fuel
• Survivor DLC 2: there's a slight chance that your character might die while being shot at
• Survivor DLC 3: some enemies are tougher than you
• Survivor DLC 4: it's possible that some rare NPCs might not like you
• Survivor DLC 5: male characters too are now allowed to have beard
Next we'll get the need to eat and drink in our fps games for realism amirite? Depending on the game and how well it's executed i'd prefer things to be simple
Remember when we were all complaining about Far cry 2 for having that tedious malaria shit? i'm still that person
I stopped playing Dark Souls when I felt down the sewers and got infected with Curse. Not only it didn't go off when you die but also it decreased the HP. Made me so pissed off running around trying to find the exit but kept dying on repeat. Had maybe about 20 hours but I felt pretty good at the game up until that stupid Curse shit. Such mechanics are just frustrating. Similarly to games with escort missions when AI is impressively retarded.
So there's some type of Battle Royale mod for this now, is it well known? anyone heard of it?
Some contractor of Samsung contacted me, they want me to make some modding for this particular mod. Seems like it's some commercial for their Odyssey screens.
Seemed a bit weird at first but the email adress was legit.
Spoiler:
We'd love the opportunity to discuss an exciting partnership opportunity with you on behalf of our client, Samsung. We are developing an innovate concept, which revolves around incorporating a diverse range of mods into a Battle Royale gameplay experience.
We'd like to discuss a partnership with you in creating some epic mods - if this is something you're interested in, let me know and I can share some additional details.
hmm maybe it's their own mod, though it seems doubtful. there does seem to be a battle royale mod, maybe they've worked with that modder. i can ask i guess.
Looks legit @vurt although that they work heavily in marketing department. If your interested may as well hear out what they are doing and if there is any opportunity.
