Yes because why would it otherwise say "Add Bonus", it's a command you can execute.
Otherwise it would say "added bonus", if if was just an explanation.

I really like the game, it feels more aligned to a table-top DnD experience (not that I've played proper DnD) than the classic BG ARPG inspired games. I'm on a first run, each character is specialised in a particular stat like str, dex, wis, int.. you can switch the npc best required for a particular skill check in a lot of cases.

Bad things:
-UI, inventory management.
-Weight / inventory again, although its not necessary to loot and horde everything. You will have a better time just not OCD hording everything you find.
-Combat ground effects are a bit annoying, i also don't like tanky characters being insta-gibbed in combat which happens from time to time.
-Some enemies are bad.. like those archers that get 3 shots a turn which feeds into above.

Not to say i don't like Pathfinder and classic BG type games, but they have their pro's and con's.. I hate that Pathfinder is balanced around min/maxing and exploiting character builds at core difficulty, also there are too many required buff skills its annoying.

Classic BG has the best balance of fun/challange in its mechanics, still unsurpassed imo.

Oh.. failed 3 entire questlines and stories because something was timed i was unaware of. If you go to grymforge, don't fast travel somewhere else or long rest.

Kind of dumb, go to area populated with NPC's, finished another quest.. come back, all dead.. area empty. Apprarently this is not a bug, although i click on a door and a magic non-existant gnome appears giving me questline tips.

Same issue here

Couldn't rest, so I had to slog it out with barely any HP and no healing items. On tactician. It was a nightmare Evil or Very Mad

Well they only have themselves to blame. Almost every studio making good games has sold out and it's talent scattered to the winds where they might or might not be able to make what they want.

I guess most people never played D:OS 1&2, while this game is certainly a little more polished and probably the better game, it's not like it's night and day different to D:OS.

The D:OS stories are pretty bad, also the maps feel really linear because of the encounter designs, which is not the case for this game.

You can thank derps that buy trash games for the state of things too, why develop quality products if people will buy dogshit because of brand and marketing.

This has been the issue for a lot of people for YEARS. Since ~2007 for me. It's nice that a point is being made here, but I don't see why BGIII is the game acting as a catalyst for change. Many games that have come before have set similar standards.

It fucking sucks that it's so enjoyable, because going from this to say... the next Ubishit title... it's so disappointing.

The industry is so deeply rotten that the simple sight of a triple-A single-player game that is fully functioning and offers competent gameplay mechanics alongside a solid presentation with no catch attacked to it nor slimy ways to shaft the customer is already seen as some kind of Holy Grail from Outer space. It's pretty sad when one thinks about it, but kudos to Larian for actually delivering the goods in terms of quality and for reminding people where priorities should lie.

...they also know very well the needs of new generations of gamers, who care about frivolous larping, zany matters and horny popinjays more than immersive and cohesive storytelling, but that was to be expected Cool Face

I'm still at the very beginning (~10 hours in) and so far it's been a highly enjoyable ride with its reactivity and the rewarding exploration, it certainly feels like the best Larian game to date. I was naively hoping this sequel would dispense some old-school vibes as well atmosphere-wise, but it hasn't been the case as the game doesn't quite carry the same flavour as BG2, sadly. It's still a perfectly fine and improved sequel, just one that uses the Polymorph Self spell to assume the likeness of a different franchise and gets away with it because it happened so long ago that no one remembers anymore.

It happened few times already. I make dice roll like on screen above. Difficulty is 15. I roll 13.
Ok, it is not enough, but I have also bonuses from INT +3 for example and I should be able to pass check easy. But no..
I spam dice to make roll faster, it is bugged and doesn't let bonuses to be added?
Or it is smth else?

Since you said you are spamming the rolls for speed you actually do not see that it adds the +5 bonuses you have in your second screen shot but if you watched the actual roll the dice would have been an 8 and then it added the +5 from your bonuses for the 13 total.

@ixigia I think the new gen needs have been executed well here. Any of those sections are wrapped in the trademark Larian humour so it winds up neutral for me.

I will say the mountain pass section shows some weakness.. there is one particular main quest section that forces save scumming in a very negative way due to how the UI/UX doesn't reflect what has just occured to your character... You will know exactly what I mean when you encounter it or find out 10 hours later your character has almost game breaking permanent debuffs. The first poor game design section I've seen, not one player will enjoy that section.

I’m glad the sentiment for this game is turning positive.

Now I need someone to take care of the kids and the wife fir a week so I can play.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Every major conflict so far in the story was black and white. There's no moral conundrum at the center of them.

It means you marked them as wares which is like marking as junk to vendor all easily.

You have to switch from the default "barter" to "trade", then there's a button you can click to sell off all your marked wares.

Playing a bard (and passing all skill checks basically), it kinda sucks that doing this cost you so much xp. Better to kill stuff actually. Some events even give no xp at all for talking your way out while the combat encouter faiiing the conversation check often gives good xp and loot. Kinda sucks, it doesn't realy pays off to have a high charisma skills monkey as main.

Well you don't hàve to persuade everyone Smile Also playing as a bard, it's nice to have the choices available, but I'm often still choosing the violent path.
Sometimes you can still steal their items and perhaps attack them, even after a peaceful solution (if they don't run away)
