I mean, kind of begs the question of why even bother with the p3portable port, but it ain't like I don't know the answer. P3 was a great game and it's cool to see it with better graphics but I don't think I'll play it. The game is way too grindy to replay, especially for the current me. Had a lot more time to waste back in the mid/late 2000s when I finished it.
I guess it is nice for people who're new to the series, but unless they improve the dungeons and lower the grind, I'm not sure they'll even appreciate it.
I'll probably skip it as well unless they've redone how Tartarus works. The dungeons is what's put me off from ever replaying this game even with the ports or that special edition one with new content kek.

Well, I launched it on gamepass just to see what they did with it. Looks to follow the original fatefully at least in the intro. Not sure how much of it I'll play as I don't think I have the kind of time or patience I had back then, but hey... nice to see good old p3 with a more modern coat of paint. Does it have all the FES gameplay additions or is it just a remake of the base game?

Edit: performance is actually all over the place the more I play, but it’s mostly above 60. Your dorm room, one small empty room and it’s at 40. But then in a large open multi storey shopping strip, filled with NPCs, it’s 70…
So a shit port coupled with the shit version that doesn't let you use any of the PC tools that might help with the shit port part... glorious PC gaeming on the year of our lord 2024

Yeah it's on gamepass which is kinda free if you do rewards shit .rin has the UWP DLCs if you want them works perfectly with the gamepass version. I would advise not installing the DLC Personas though just like in P5R they are incredibly overpowered and you can summon them for free without a lvl requirement.
this version fixes up tartarus and makes it way less of a grind so that's the positive. old tartarus combined with the exhaust system would filter so many people these days
