Well that leaked gameplay video showed nothing to write home about tbh.
sar·casm | \ ˈsär-ˌka-zəm \
1: a sharp and often satirical or ironic utterance designed to cut or give pain
2a: a mode of satirical wit depending for its effect on bitter, caustic, and often ironic language that is usually directed against an individual
b: the use or language of sarcasm
I see the leaked video follows the time honoured format: totally crap quality recording, complete with phone in portrait orientation, and a player who appears to be unable to even work out how to use his controller.
It gives you the flexibility and options to carve out a unique identity, and even adds a unique and exciting twist on New Game+ to incentivise continued and repeat play.
wouldn't denuvo kill modding and only make it possible through an in game online library? Doubt that would sit well.
They prob got enough from pre orders that it's a profit already.
my entire youtube feed (because yes, i did look at some starfield videos at some point)
"AMAZING STARFIELD NEWS!"
"ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE NEW DETAILS about STARFIELD!"
"Wait until you hear this AMAZING feature in STARFIELD - that no one told you about!!!!!!!"
..."you can go to planets, AND you can explore them freely."
It's cringe and pissing me off tbh. It was getting bad in general but it's been taken to a new level with Starfield. The moment a miniscule detail drops they gotta tell us how AMAZING!!! it is in order to both feed the algorithm and get dem clicks...
Youtubers are becoming bigger shills than the mainstream media ever were.

Script extenders most probably would be off the table, as far as I understand, but it wouldn't kill "regular" modding.
Would be a sad precedent for bethesda games though, but maybe we have finally come to that point.

it wouldn't be a great precedent, given that all of bethesdas titles have always been propped up with heavy exe mods.
beth is pretty deep in the denuvo D, but hopefully not for this one
They screwed the Skyrim rerelease with their 64bit exe, it didn't have a script extender for a long time. DRM on top of that wouldn't have helped
FO76 is sitting on 75% / 46k reviews, without mods, despite the fact they said they were coming
Here's hoping...
76 would actually be fucking great if we could have run it offline and with mods.
i still don't entirely understand why bethesda doesn't actually just work with modders to implement their own script extender that modders need just how many millions do you have to earn to employ 1 programmer and qa for an unstablle modder branch

You're right, sorry.
It's just that when I think of bethesda games, it's just usually about TES and FO only but you're right about the other heavy D'd games besides those

What's the harm? Refund policy makes preordering a non-issue IMO
I have 311 refunds on my account now
I agree, but I think some people are worried their refunding moved them back from their long term vacation in ARG, TUR etc so there is a minor argument
