Finished it earlier today

at the start I was just in it for the visuals and gameplay/customization. wasn't sure if I was gonna replay it. I enjoyed it a lot but I wasn't "hooked".
but by the end I was really invested. I cared about some of the characters, I knew the factions, some of them I really didn't want to have to fight Sad
and the story got pretty damn cool and souls style, though it won't be to everyone's taste with the usual barebones FROM/Souls storytelling. I thought the lore got more and more interesting and the missions got more badass and all that as the game went on

just a really great game. I hope they make more.
and I'm gonna need to do another playthrough or two....

Sounds good. I love it so far, just finished the Arena missions. That was fun. I hope there are more epic missions where you fight on absolutely gigantic vehicles, like in that desert mission, that was awesome Very Happy

This will be my GOTY unless Starfield just blows me away.

I suck at it too. I did get better at it once i connected my old Logitech G13, it has a small thumb-joystick so i can control W,A,S,D with just the thumb alone, this frees up fingers for doing the other stuff. Overall it's just way more comfortable than using a normal keyboard + better than a gamepad.

not sure what enemy that is, but if it heals it must be an AC which can be quite tough. try a different build focused on shorter or longer ranger, try melee, etc. there must be something that works better.

also earlier on it felt like I was struggling to keep up, but at some point I somehow climbed over the wall and I was no longer frantically screwing around but actually just kicking ass without having to think about the controls, using my entire arsenal felt natural, including assault boost kicks and shit.

I will say dual shotguns, dual shoulder missile launchers probably carried me during the noobing around phase. it's very simple in terms of controls but effective against almost all enemies I encountered. the missiles cause sustained stagger and you just boost in close and unload with the shotguns, its a lot of damage

also assault armor. it's great to counter enemy shields if you can get close, but also if you stagger them and they stop moving you can close in, fire all your shit then assault armor explode right on them for massive damage. and while you're next to them and waiting for your guns to reload you should get in an assault boost kick as well.

so yeah keep at it, and you will beat it. you may think you're stuck but your brain is always learning...

I got to play this for a bit. The graphics, controls and even the performance could be better, but I'm having a blast with it.

Started this one yesterday, never played any AC games before. So far it's great, tight MK controls, challenging fun.

how dare you ruin the game for other people? you monster!

though personally I think you should try looking up help when you get stuck first since there's usually a build you can do that makes a given fight a lot easier...
and you can switch gear at any time since you can just sell stuff for 100% to get something else.

potato core

lowering the bar does affect ones personal achievements, doesn't feel like a gold medal when they're being printed wholesale Laughing
although i think i'm fairly safe in saying doing 100% of this game isn't exactly a huge life milestone anyway
just wait until this poor man discovers cheaters

been a long time since achievements meant an actual achievement either way.

Ya clocked this one, I feel like I stumbled on an OP combo as I had 1 hard boss battle in the game (Baltius) then pretty much breezed through the rest of the game. I didn't need to switch out my gear much, basically stuck to the same mid tier unlocked guns and rotated between 3 different shoulder part sets.

So are the missions kind of randomized? Seems like some are 5 minutes and some are more elaborate? Seems a bit on the shallower side, but im intrigued.

Nah it's essentially linear with a 2-3 "decision" missions where you take one or the other. One of the things I think FromSoftware do well, is focus solely on the game / gameplay. This is a mech game, unlock and customise your mech, take on missions /arena challenges and destroy shit as efficiently as possible.

I'm not saying cinematic experience is bad, just that tight controls and gameplay loop is way more important.

The sorcerer who made the Elden Ring coop mod made a fucking coop mode for Armored Core VI now
arguably even more impressive

up to 5 players, shared progression, compatible with other mods, even has (optional) invasions

mind blown
