So, was this shit better or worse than the latest season of Mando?

Much, much, much better.

Hmmm interesting, then I guess I will watch it, as I still managed to enjoy Mando earlier this year.

It was better but there's so much forced nostalgia and fan service in some episodes that it becomes way too apparent and silly. The show is probably most enjoyed by the Clone Wars/Rebels fanbase. I do not belong to that. Besides, Sabine annoyed the hell out of me.

Still, some nice action. Rosario Dawson does a good job.

Out of the SW shows I've watched (Mando S1-S3 & Boba Fett) I'd put it after Mando S1-S2. I haven't seen Andor or Obi-Wan yet so I can't compare with those.

@Frant Just go and watch Andor right now. Very Happy

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Absolutely, as someone who is more than fed up with nuStar Wars and its dose of rotten memberberries, Andor truly felt like a breath of fresh air both in terms of themes and acting/production values. A show engineered for adults and featuring a gritty grounded tone, such a pleasant anomaly in Disney's universe. After that, it's difficult to go back to watching the usual SW live-action nonsense.

Well, thanks for the mini-review Smile

last episode was so bad that I thought this was Z-series on purpose. My god! The night troopers' blasters being deflected like a terribad choreography by Ahsoka and the purple blue couple. The night troopers turning into night Zombie troopers Laughing you can't be serious. This SHOULD be on purpose. Right? RIGHT?

A vast simplification of a commercial (not a sociological one) study from 4chan, screen-shot to be posted on Twitter.

The study is reference as early as 2016 but was only recently brought to media attention by.. very unbiased people.. in march 2023.
Too bad, Lego went for another route since then and currently prefers gender neutrality, contradicting this former study's apparent commercial conclusions.

Seems like there could be more to it than just boys wanting to become heroes and girls wanting heroes to become them after all.

A lot of interesting stuff to be found in LEGO-led studies, indeed : for instance, in 2022, 73% of the surveyed children wished for more diversity and inclusivity in the characters offered by the company. Damn, they got to indoctrinated.
Naturally, when said toy line came out with more diverse characters, hell broke loose for the usual suspects as Lego was going woke and kids were going to go apeshit maniac as a result - doesn't seem like it's hurting their sales for that line, though.

Source for this? It's not really what woke means and i doubt too many cares that lego figures got more skin colors, if that what more diverse means here (i don't follow lego).
If diverse means gay or trans lego characters, or gangsta lego characters or similar (lol) then sure, i can see how people might think that's a bit much.

But yes i remember this study, i think i've linked to it before on here. It's why women are getting uglier in games and movies, because again the writer isn't an actor, and perhaps usually average looking. They want the character to represent them, so they can no longer be beautiful. There are numerous comic books we've laughed at over the years in Comics Gate because its such evident self-inserts from the writer. How women can't seem to see how cringe that is, is beyond me... some of these people have no self-awareness though and are super narcissistic...

I did not know this:

"“Ahsoka” Season 2 is in development with creator Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm has confirmed.

The news came with the reveal of the new “Star Wars” film “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” directed by Jon Favreau, which was unveiled Tuesday morning."
