Flashback 2020: 9/10 - This is an underrated sci-fi movie. I wouldn't have said its a complicated story-line requiring deep thought but looking at low review score explanations, I overestimate the avg. movie-goer.
I really liked the pacing on this one, and they don't spell out what is happening, your just following the characters along for the journey. Definately has a small lovecraftian type vibe to it and I thought the score was really good, giving it an overall unsettling vibe that things are not what they seem.
Shame this director / writer has only done 3 movies and this one having divisive review scores means we probably won't get more.
They'll never make a movie like this again, is probably also what they said back in 1979
Amazing sets and costumes, historically very accurate, well acted (Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, Helen Mirren) and also tits, dicks and ass in almost every scene, hardcore unsimulated sex scenes (gay, lesbian, incest, orgies), lots of violence and torture.
Imagine a big Hollywood production with fitting budget and actors, but the actors arent't wearing underwear.
Never heard about Teresa Ann Savoy before, but damn
It's like Game of Thrones on crack
But despite all the above, the movie is actually pretty boring, unfortunately. Still worth a watch.
... and 40years later we are still further away
SFW Trailer - It as all the scenes without a cock pussy or both
The scene with the horse in his bed (at 0:21) is not very far fetched btw
According to rumours, he even wanted to make it a consul (probably to provoke the senate even more)
Equaliser 3: 5/10 time to put this series to rest, not much to say really, it has a cheap feel to it, there's nothing notably good about the movie, action scenes, the lines, even Denzel doesn't have much to work with, nonsense story etc.. it's just another equaliser movie.

Agreed, I was hoping to enjoy it but the movie really fell on its face. It was like watching Il Monicalizatore from a D-rated TV series that leans on predictable stereotypes and awkward plot developments in the cheapest way possible. Denzel's usual charisma/scenic presence felt noticeably tired here, it's clear that the franchise has run its course and two chapters were already enough.
Saving Private Ryan - 9/10
Man, I haven't seen this in ages. You know a movie is a masterpiece when even Vin Diesel shines in his role (all 10 min of it).
Enjoyed it. Old Denzel mulling through the mafia is a bit far fetched, but it's angry Denzel killing. Done much better than, say, the Liam Neeson crapolas.
It was a really weird experience to watch this one, but it was well made and suprisingly good.
The weird part was watching a german movie where they were the good guys during ww2. That aside, i enjoyed the movie and laughed alot at the obvious propaganda. But still - well made.
Edit: lol, i noticed that the director died in the 70s...in Argentina. Coincidence that he lived there? I think not!
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
Five Nights at Freddy's - shit/10
Good production value but apart from that nonsensical plot, almost no violence, boring as fuck.
Dark Harvest - 6.5/10
it was an ok horror.

Killers of the Flower Moon - 9/10 I watched it yesterday and it was great. The three and a half hours flew by me. The movies is well written and fantastically acted by the main cast. Some backgrounds felt cheap, but that's about it on the negative side.
I have to say though, I found Oppenheimer to be closer to perfection, but I'm quite sure Killers of the Flower Moon will take all the Oscars.
The Killer a.k.a. Agent 47 if he had hair and wasn't very good at his job - 7,5/10
Definitely not Fincher's best opus, but (surprisingly) the movie works well as a straightforward dark semi-comedy which is what it was aiming for in the first place. Fassman always nails the professionalism in an unflappable way despite..everything, and the direction/soundtrack combo is as solid as one would expect. Stick to your plan. Anticipate, don't improvise. Trust no one. Never yield an advantage...fuck!
