There's something iffy about the mouse control. Camera movement only seems consistent at 30 or 60fps. At other rates, there's some annoying jitter. Doesn't happen on controller.

I just don't understand how you can expect 1995-2007 gameplay in 2023 AAA games, it's frustrating to read I bought Durr and the 2023 gameplay sucks... really?! no shit.

I think the guy who made that video is reading too much into it or is doing it for clickbait.
Like, it's a really cool self reference, but I'm not really seeing how this is means there's a remake coming. Unless they announced it of course. I'm not that up to date on games.

It's Alan Wake guys, it's a linear console 3rd person game, not sure what you guys expecting. The first one at least did a good job in making it feel more open due to the Pacific Northwest forest setting

Is this supposed to be just a novel written by Alan Wake and he's just a shit writer? Or are the game writers just shit? I really do hope those 2 are just cultist fucking with with you, cause otherwise, just fuck me they horribly written.
And every conversation between the 2 FBI agents is just so unnatural and just cheap, shit horror movie script-ish.
Also just give me normal saves, this checkpoint shit is so dogshit. Having to redo the whole "investigation" bit at the start of chapter 2 just cause I dared to play a bit further yesterday and just didn't play far enough for the magical checkpoint ... like fuck...

Better combat sure that's a reasonable expectation because the first game was ass, but don't go in expecting a masterpiece. You guys have been around long enough to take review scores with a healthy helping of salt

At this point i don't need innovation, i need an immersive game without characters talking into my ear every 5 seconds telling me what to do, constant map markers and button prompts, mandatory lesbos. I might yarr this one just to check out the visuals and atmosphere at least.

yeah. Im just at the beggining, but holly shit. It feels like a joke so far. You're just following instructions and prompts what to do. If this is how this new, "investigative" gameplay side will be until the end, my god. How did they end up thinking this is fun or exciting to play ? I sure hope this is only some misguided belief that it's a good intro. |

hey, hey. Uncharted 4 and especially Last of Us are some of the worst games ive ever played in my life. Let me show you a screencap of what i posted about it on another forum when i played it on PC

twitter became X since then and fucked up things, there was another tweet there originally about how they were working at the time. Moving on from that and to Alan Wake, about 4 hours in it's extremely bad. I haven't actually done anything other than running forward and backward. The investigative part being you clicking F next to the body and then having to click 5 circles so you can "solve" the case is not even that big of a deal. The main issue is that there's no actual engaging game yet. They went 100% into the movie aspect of games to the point that after 4 hours im somehow waiting to play something. Im just running and looking at npc's talking. There's plenty of time left, its a long game, it can change. Fingers crossed
