yeah looks overdone, like how someone would look if he's pissed about having to tell you the same thing again and is being overly expressive with his mouth. they just need to scale it back. it needs to look more relaxed.
Not sure how playable/enjoyable the game can be with all the uber-cine-wobbling involved, but it definitely looks pretty damn neat in an eerie way. I'd be curious to see Condemned remade using that tech, pants would be soiled

Probably miles better than most modern games with 50 fov and hands/gun taking half of the screen.
The screenshaking is realistic if we observe footage that was recorded with vr gear. If your regular sp game infront of your monitor with mouse and keyboard would move like this, it might be really uncomfortable. Vr footage looks like this in the headset but you don't notice the shaking because it's your own motion that creates this.
On the other hand, compared to the previous footage the muzzfle flashes seem to be heavily reduced with less sparks flying around which I guess is more realistic, but now firing your weapon doesn't illuminate the surrounding area anymore and that looked pretty cool.
That will allow for more gated content and non$en$ical limitations touted as "features" in addition to the broken and unoptimized mainstream junk sold for 60-70€ that already is the typical AAA experience, practically a dream for Greederpelopers. UE modding has always been tricky, but that of course would mark the end of it. Although there will still be positive exceptions, big-budget gaming's road has been paved for a while now.
Whats with the Project M vid, isn't that half a year old?
Oops my bad.
The first one I posted was made private for some reason.
I then changed it to the announcement trailer from 7 months ago in error.
Fixed now
This guy has spent 8 years working on remaking The Legend of Zelda: Ocarins of Time in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks phenomenal. Apparently you can download and play for free. Surely Nintendo would have shut him down already though?!
edit: i mean... it's perhaps not bad but it's fucking weird with his memorials all over the place of his dead friends. i only played for 5 minutes and i saw like 4 graves. wtf?
"copyright nintendo" on the start screen. lol. ok. more like "copyright nintendo but i don't care."
Racial, ethnic, and religious inclusiveness
- Do not use metaphors or similes that reinforce stereotypes. Examples include contrast black and white or blacklist and whitelist.
- Do not use words that refer to historical trauma or lived experience of discrimination. Examples include slave, master, and nuke.
Gender inclusiveness
- Refer to hypothetical people as they, them, and their, even in the singular.
- Refer to anything that is not a person as it and its. For example, a module, plugin, function, client, server, or any other software or hardware component.
- Do not assign a gender to anything that doesn't have one.
- Do not use collective nouns like guys that assume gender.
- Avoid colloquial phrases that contain arbitrary genders, like "a poor man's X".
Slang
- Remember that your words are being read by a global audience that may not share the same idioms and attitudes, and who might not understand the same cultural references.
- Avoid slang and colloquialisms, even if you think they are funny or harmless. These may be hard to understand for people whose first language is not English, and might not translate well.
- Do not use profanity.
Overloaded Words
Many terms that we use for their technical meanings also have other meanings outside of technology. Examples include abort, execute, or native. When you use words like these, always be precise and examine the context in which they appear.

It would make sense if it was ramblings from some ultra conservative Christan game hating cult, but when it comes from people who makes games, yeah, it's pure madness.
"Do not use profanity." yeah sure, because hell awaits otherwise?
Word List
The following list identifies some terminology that we have used in the Unreal codebase in the past, but that we believe should be replaced with better alternatives.
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
