here's how training looks over time. the prompt during training is "scifi wall". So in the start it thinks this prompt means something scifi-looking (like a person, which the model is heavily biased towards) + a scifi background where a wall is visible.
Then later it recognizes that my images for "scifi wall" are in fact not people but flat textures, so it fuses what it knows into these new parts. it can look quite funny (this is not the best example of that perhaps).
When my models becomes heavily biased towards making scifi walls/panels i can write an actors name as a prompt and it turns it into a flat sci-fi panel where this actor's face sometimes can be quite visible and very machine-like
glad you like. you can see at 10% done how it realizes high symmetry among the images, so it places sci-fi Tits McGee in the middle and also crushes her head with metal panels, and at 20% the metal has almost swallowed her up
its the same Seed for all images btw. another seed will show something entirely different happening.
Thanks for the link, that app is damn powerful. Gave it a very vague prompt and it came up with something you'd not be surprised to hear playing on a radio, which perfectly matched what I hoped it'd come up with.
Damn

yeah Now imagine this in 1-2 years. Even if not every song will be good, you will be able to mass produce it, make 500 full songs in some hour or something. Pick out the perhaps 1-10 songs that end ups just amazing.
I can understand people wanting to be critical though. But that happened for synths too when they came out. "Now anyone can make music, it doesn't require any kind of talent!"
But it wasn't really what happened, apart from perhaps in the very start when people couldn't judge actual talent from using presets or built-in stuff. Though with these new things so much good can come out from pure luck and from mass producing..
I'm just so curious what it will lead to (apart from genericness, laziness etc, because yes that will happen.)
Nice find vurt!
Time for me to waste more time on making AI shit instead of working at work, on a friday...

man the very first thing I made.
This came out concerningly good. Music AI thing I asked to make a "90s alternative song about flowers" trying to give it something stupid to see how dumb it came out...and it nailed it I think:

A friend came over so to demonstrate the generation i made a song about him (his name) being a Viking etc. He was impressed I'll give the link to my brother, i bet he would love to make a song about his daughters.
It's like having your own bard that comes up with shit on the spot haha
It is damn good.
The voice can use some work, but it is beta. Sometimes it's a bit robot-y and others I cant tell its not a person singing. But the music behind the vocals is always shockingly good.

If they were AI they would be better, you can easily add lip sync to their speaking, and even facial expressions, for example. I don't think its AI, they have people and its a big company. But who knows...
so are seeds now like nfts ? who owns the seed ? like the poet owns the poem and not the alphabet ?
Totally different concept really. No one 'owns' the seed as its a random number. You can't copyright/patent say "8483723432561012"
And what you make it's purely based on seed: its by model you use, sampler method you pick, number of steps, CFG scale etc.
A seed on its own is useless to attempt to recreate something, and/or claim that seed = that think you made so that seed is yours.
It would be like you saying you own a random number a PC generates for a game. The seed (random number) is useless to saying the thing you used it to do is your property. The thing you applied to random number to, to use, can be yours (coding for loot boxes). But the number it used to get that item isnt 'yours'.
And since that's the case, ist just a random set of numbers that are not useful on its own, or ownable: People share seeds for AI images, voice clones, AI speech and such. (and you need all software parts that used that number, to get the results they did)

My new favorite christmas song. All I told it was "Djent style song about Christmas and jingle bells:

Art is always going to require artists. When anyone can produce (generic) music, do movies, do incredible (but eventually generic) images, an artist will have to do better. He will stand above the rest. It's been the case since humans started drumming on tree logs and smearing animal blood on stones to produce art.
Everyone thought music was dead when synths came, then music was dead when samplers came. Then anyone was an artist who could do stuff with filters in Photoshop. lol. no. it's not what happens.
There is a very brief moment in time when anyone super average can maybe have his 15 minutes though, you just have to start producing early, when its not considered extremely dull yet.
Nah, they're dead Jim. Artists are just one of the firsts who gonna have to face the music. Maybe the AIs are tools for now, but soon they will become creative agents of their own. Some real human artists will find a profitable niche with the luddites and AI refuseniks but the mainstream demand as a whole will shrink massively.
Who are we considering as Arists in AI right now? The ones that produces the best AI models of course. Not everyone can do that because they don't have the knowledge or the skillset. An artist has a skillset which not everyone else possesses, that's all there is to it, same as ever.
The skillsets are absolutely changing, but that's the norm for humans, always has been.

yeah financially demand for artists will die apart from very niche novelty rich people things like handmade clay pots, jewelery, utensils and rugs etc are today.
as far as corporations go, AI is king. Cheap mass production. Art teams at very best will shrink from 20 to 1 half artist half proomter
Sure if you see it like that, working with AI models is artistry in and of itself but it requires a completely different skillset. It's like you being a race car driver in the 1920s and the "conventional" artists are horse carriage operators. We currently have A LOT of horse carriage operators who have no idea how to drive a car. So most of them will be fucked.
