Poor man's "The Magnificent 7" sci-fi remake with poorly made action scenes, a terrible plot line, un-interesting {and kinda weak} characters with blant background stories. Add to this the many many many slow-mo scenes that make no sense...a solid 3/10.

Also Sofia is a good action movies performer (Kingsmen) but the scenes here were terrible. Shame because this could have been something.

Rewatched it recently and it was pretty bad. Didn't help I just read a good historic novel about the Spartans and was expecting it to be somewhat accurate at least.

It was never supposed to be accurate, it was based on a comic book. And it's very accurate in that regard in my opinion, even down to particular shots

Yes, I guess it's more of a criticism towards the source material. Although the stuff that was added in the movie didn't elevate it even slightly.

I liked 300 for what it was when I saw it in the theatre when it was released, but now I got pretty bored with it half way. It's just extremely shallow and actually manages to get everything wrong to the smallest detail. Laughing I think I've seen too much shit in the 20 years since Laughing

Dawn of the Dead and Watchmen Director's Cut are still great though.

Watched it on the side during the holidays, and I couldn't help but find her acting to be very, very average - but that went for nearly all actors Laughing
The two family members who actually watched it were just intensely confused as to whether this was a Star Wars spin-off or not, they weren't sure all movie long (no, they're not big SW connoisseurs, spare them) Laughing

The final battle took me by surprise. I kinda expected it to be some kind of aperitif before the main course in the end. But no, it was the finale.

I was really bored and wanted to try this out yesterday, to see if it is as bad as they say.

Just couldn't get through more than 1 hour, no matter how hard I tried. Just so vanilla and boring.

Listen to Hack Snyder's interview on Joe Rogan; he's basically a manchild still, in his 50s. He claims that Rebel Boob A Child on Fire is more popular than Barbie and does some mental gymnastic math to prove it Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

The whole interview is terrible. I haven't listened to Rogan in years now, but he used to be able to hold a conversation. Now he seems to just ramble endlessly. And Snyder is just 🤦‍♂️

Filmmaker Zack Snyder has already teased that his sci-fi epic “Rebel Moon” could be getting a third part. It turns out his plans go far beyond that.

In a recent interview with RadioTimes coming ahead of the second part launching on Netflix on Friday, Snyder discussed the overall plan of the series and just how much of a story he wishes to tell. It turns out a trilogy ain’t enough for Snyder:

“I guess four makes sense. Four or six movies, depending. I guess it’s whether or not every time we make one of these movies, we make two, that’s the question.”
