Was hesitant at first, reading your half-baked impressions & whatnot but once I decided to kickstart the binge it is unstoppable. Second season, except some early season deplorable drama episodes, is one of the best I've watched on TV. In years.
Season 3 was really good, it should have been like that from the beginning. Especially Season 2 was a tedium to get through with all that drama and it only picked up the pace in the final few episodes...
Really like the time jumps between the seasons, makes for a fresh experience everytime and gives the entire story arc some breadth. Also, the corresponding advancements of technology in this hypothetical alt-timeline are implemented really well and with a lot of attention to detail.
Hoping they manage to hold the quality in Season 4.
I binged all seasons in 2 weeks, so far it's still good when you can watch a few episodes in a row, but it needs something new. It's indicative that the best characters around are still those from the first season, and they should be close to 80 or 90 at this point
They need more characters like Gordo, flawed but highly likeable, but it takes at least a seaon to build these up. I didn't really like Gordo in S1 but S2 made him my favorite in the show.

i agree that the best characters are still the original ones, old ed with his snarky responses is the best ed , these characters made this season enjoyable so far, but very much lacked in space scenes this season but seems its building for something big
