it's on 87% reviews though.
My theory: Most people who would have bought the game didnt buy it because of the negative "previews". Mostly people who just play everything that's new and shiny bought it gave it a positive review after playing some minutes which will lead to other people buying it that were on the fence thinking it might be worthwhile afterall.

Damn i hate modern gamers.
My theory: The Suicide Squad IP isn't as enticing or interesting as Batman or Superman. More gamers want a single player experience, publishers keep pushing MP games on us. We already had Gotham Knights and Avengers that didn't do well, it's too easy to just assume this is more of the same. Lastly, gamers (and maybe even Devs) are sick of games being made for shareholders rather than the people that buy the game. In light of all of the above, this is the perfect game to send a message to publishers that if you stop listening to what we want, we're quite happy to stop buying your games.

Except for the first sentence about levels of enticement, I think your theory is pretty spot on and should be made a sticky (if it was possible ).
very positive?? One of the reviews says they are deleting reviews, does steam allow devs to do that?
Maybe it's just the perfect slop for the zoomer consoomer

Wouldn't really surprise me if the game got review-bombed by meme reviews with <0.1 hours played, just to participate in the collective spam and earn some Steam trophies.. I don't mind having those reviews removed : looking at the current review page, there's more than half of reviews that are some kind of one-liner meme. Sure, they're fun, but ultimately useless.
However, if it's some kind of on-request type of thing.. but Valve/Steam don't strike me as the kind of people that give a fuck about that and would satisfy such demands

ShillUp with a fucking 45 minute video about this turd? Dear lords of Kobol!
at least he explains why its shit, insteand of throwing shit all over it as many do, then publishers cant dismiss these reviews for not having valid arguments vs just a hating rambling review

That's not many reviews for a game like this, I think most people who would have bought it didn't buy it at all
Tbh as far as i can see this game flopped sale numbers wise.
Since they didnt sell enough copies it might get the dev rocksteady in trouble and make warner disbaned them or do some lay offs. Which in turn means this game wont receive any more content.
Maybe people are sick of the rinse and repeat same-y games like anthem, marvel's avengers and now this or the game launched in a shitty period since palworld happened lol so people already got a mp fix with their friends.(besides the fact that the game imo is shit)
I 100% expect either big layoffs at Rocksteady or even closure. This is very likely a $250 million game, if not more. You need 6-7 million copies at full price just to break even. And nobody wants to break even after almost a decade of development.
