The Family Plan (2023) - 6.5/10 Better than what I’ve expected. Definitely one of the better recent ’feel good’ comedies. Especially if you happen to have kids. Smile

Watching it, it's fucking awful. 2000's tv quality movie with stupid premise. Terribly shot.

The Beekeeper 5/10: Oddly bland Statham movie and weird that there was a lack of humour given the title. How do you write bad dialog in a film that doesn't need much? the dialog between the mum and kid near the end Laughing wtf..

How do you not kill 1 guy the whole movie with a beehive..

I watched Poor Things last night. It was fantastic, up until the end where I think it overstepped a bit the limits.

I highly recommend it. Great writing, great acting, outstanding cinematography.

Me and my girlfriend have been continuously analyzing various scenes. A feminist movie that makes you think without shoving anything down your throat. You don't get to see that every day.

Well, getting an all-German cast to play in Schindler's List would probably be very difficult. It would also be very difficult to get the English speaking cast to learn perfect German before filming. Wink

But that was a German movie

Schindler's List is hollywood

Besides, ralph fiennes and liam neeson nailed it so hard, good luck finding german actors killing it like that

Speaking of movies that emulate thick foreign accents whilst adding an accidental layer of goofiness to the experience:

Ferrari - 6,5/10

Another long-awaited biopic, another mild disappointment, though the movie's accuracy isn't one of the culprits in this case. It does actually share some similarities with Napoleon, with its competent props and research that went into the scenography, the main actors doing their job reasonably well (both Adam Driver and Penelope Cruz are solid, unlike Woodley) and some fascinating shots (except for the infamous crash made with After Effects' free trial) - all slotted into an entity that doesn't quite know what to do with its subject matter and focuses on clichè-ish trivialities more than anything else. The movie tries to differentiate itself from its more grandiose rivals which is an understandable approach but still, it's a *yellow flag* type of delivery.

The worst Vaughn movie Sad I kinda understand what he wanted to do here - a pulp spy novell adaptation - but almost everything underdelivers and turns into more and more pulp and tropes as the movie goes.
