@zenux
There is, why they are cashing in on it.
There is really only two types of blockbuster movies anymore:
- Cash in on nostalgia of the older generation by taking whatever the 40-50 year olds fondly remember and making a rehash/remake/whatever of it into a movie: Looking at you Marvel, Jurassic [park, world, universe, omniverse, whatever], Fast and the Furious #107, Star Wars, DC, Mad Max, Disney...
( or just look at top grossing movies of the last decade: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls026040906/ )
- Cash in on vague current generation trends that are vague enough not to be intellectual property of someone else, but pointed enough to be clear "Hey! I also have a passing interest in that thing. A high tension ridiculous concept movie about it I would watch".
This is the latter, joining the scramble to one day become the former for the current generation where they go: OH I remember that from back in 2020's this new version will be awesome!
-We don't control what happens to us in life, but we control how we respond to what happens in life.
-Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. -G. Michael Hopf

I'm aware of the older ones, just thought it was funny to see 3 in such a short time. I also think most movies starting with 'The' is lazy as hell, no imagination!
No wonders. Most movies/series are very very boring and low budget stuff. Just a few I have started watching but stopped.
-The chef
-Boys
-Doll factory
-Peaky blinders
and the list goes on............

Watching it, it's fucking awful. 2000's tv quality movie with stupid premise. Terribly shot.

In 1:01:30 he fights with FBI agents. Look at the background, there are other FBI agents that are just standing there, not reacting to him kicking and shooting the FBI agents. It's like the video games, if they have their back to you, they can't hear you.
'It's military grade weapon. It shoots 6000 rounds per minute, that's 100 rounds per second.'
Takes keys from innocent on gas station, the gas station explodes killing the innocent as he is nowhere to be seen. 'I'm here to protect the hive'.
Anyway I've fallen asleep 20 minutes before end.

The Beekeper was quite fun and didn't take itself seriously, including stupid bee puns
It had a lot of irredeemably stupid things unfortunately - even for a Statham movie. Also, I couldn't help but notice that not a SINGLE one of the phishing call center scammers were from India - they were all rich trust-fund douchebags from Joisey!
