Also one major change in remastered graphics I noticed in the first level of TR3 is that "mudd" or "quicksaand" texture isn't animated to indicate it as different from regular mudd. While in old graphics it's quite obvious which one is which.

I haven't played much of this yet but damn it takes some brain rewiring to get used to the controls again, definitely best to use a KB instead of an analog gaem pad

Yeah, there are more cases like that where the original effects are either missing or disregarded in favour of static textures, it's a bit lazy. The neuralize all the things approach does work well ~80% of the time, but the remaining 20 is split between the general mood being altered, silly glitches and the old HD cat meme

As for the tank controls, once you memorize the actual spaces/distances required for each animation + use the walk button to adjust the position you're practically set. Razz It's an objectively archaic system designed for digital inputs, but the levels are built around that and it all comes together naturally. It's also the main reason why Anniversary feels very different from the original TR1, and less satisfying overall.

https://www.eurogamer.net/tomb-raider-1-3-remastered-more-polished-on-epic-game-store-fans-say

If you are playing through Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered on the Epic Games Store, you may find it is a little different to other versions.

As noted by Small Medipack, the Epic Games Store version has a range of improvements when compared to other platforms. For example, the Nevada level in Tomb Raider 3 is, overall, "more polished", thanks to better textures and animations.

Meanwhile, there are more poses on the Epic Games Store version's photo mode - 21 in total.

Other differences include more realistic snowflakes, added ceilings (light holes) in the Greece levels, a different skybox in Colosseum level, and more. Small Medipack notes the game's Modern Controls also seem "slightly better than other platforms" on the Epic Games version. The "camera is more stable and responsive," they said.

It's not all better over on EGS, though. According to some players, the achievements are broken here. So, there is that. You can check out the full thread of differences below.

Also, oh noes broken cheevos?! /wrists

Is the cracled version based on this EGS version BTW?

Curious to see how they'll handle VI, which needs actual fixing besides the usual AI remustarding job.
