Avengers was also free with Intel stuff so I am sure that somewhat inflated the numbers as that was how I got my copy at launch.
It is kind of interesting that there have not been many free games recently with Starfield being the last one I can think of as it used to seem like every 2 months there would be some new game free with a videocard or cpu purchase.

I feel like every few years some company gets burned by a shit game they released, so they announce shift to mobile games. Then after a few years, they announce they are going “back to their roots” of making shit games.

The storyline is ruined by the latest game and Kevin Conroy is dead. After looking on YouTube I just can't look at Arkham games ever again the same.
Court of the owls storyline batfamily focused that CONTINUES Arkham games by rocksteady would have been much better option than this shit.
Instead we got the Weird Gotham Knights game that not related to Arkham games storywisw and a Suicide Squad game that shit on anything Arkham games stood for and ruin Batman even when Conroy voices him.

Pretty much.
Good games which sell great are not enough for the suits anymore because they usually involve a one-off transaction. Sure it can make millions but they see this as leaving money on the table.
Having consumers make many transactions within a live service environment is much more attractive.

I think it was on some luke stephens video that he pulled up some article showing that the live service idea was from rocksteady, not the WB suits. I'll see if I can dig it up later.
