You can't trust review sites when they are positive about a game, especially if it's a AAA game.
But when review sites rate a game as mediocre, it's mediocre or worse.
I don't think it's as easy as that... Especially with AA (that's two As) games. They usually don't have big corpo money breathing down the neck of reviewers I suppose.
So a 7 for a game like this might actually be kind of accurate
lol just try the demo, this is absolute garbage. wouldn't play if i got paid. and no, i don't even mean performance or graphics, gameplay is shit, especially combat, which is what you do. this is worse than e.g recent Pirahna Bytes, except for graphics.

According to ACG's review it is not. And I'd take ACG review over a dozen of others.
ACG is just as bad as general review sites. He just looks at the technical state of a game and when it's somewhat functional he likes the game. He also praised Pacific drive a lot.
It looks like they licensed whatever engine / code Elex had with a re-skin, it looks so similar, the npc's, even the conversation camera etc.. I thought you guys loved Elex?
No this is a perfect isodemo. Gonna play it. If it's very bad, i'm done in an hour.

Probably means you hit a pressure point. You'd likely be ignored if you missed completely
Actually the game is fun as a casual sci fi open worlder, worthy an isodemo
There is a bit of yank and a lot of wtf why didn't they do this better stuff.
Story/dialogue is also very boring.
It's a lot like avator frontiers of pandorra, but this the better game. It's also not that big. It's doable to do all the side content without feeling you are completly wasting your time.
