Not really sure what all the hate is about? It is like every retro shooter I have ever played!! I mean it isn't the greatest game ever but it is fine. Lots of rough spots, lots of good spots, lots of pissing around too.6/10
Thought I would add a final review
I finished the game and I thought it was pretty good. It did remind me of the very first Half-Life
It had rough edges just like Half-Life when it first came out. Lots of nostalgia playing this for me. Old Skool vibes for sure.
I think issues with these games arise when they make the levels too wide open. Especially if you have crappy AI you're not doing yourself any favors by making these big maps.
Ion Fury, which I loved, had SOME wipe open ones but most were a good mixture. The DLC they seemed to go much bigger which means all the flaws of the game look magnified.
I'm still gonna give this a try at some point but i think the demo really soured me on it, unfair as that may be.
Something very off in the voice and speech timing in that video, it sounds like text-to-speech model. Or he bizarrely post-processing his voice -> either way gamingbolt skip.
why have 1 gaming utub account if you could with equal effort make content for 15 utub accounts with tts derp.
hmm starting to think maybe some youtubers are just mad they didnt get paid off because so far I think its a fun labor of love.
Or they may have expected a little too much from a retro FPS. There are plenty of little interactive details here
From the reviews I have seen, it seems to be a competent fun shooter, that doesn't innovate a lot and unfortunately suffers towards the end. Last levels apparently feel unfinished and a bit buggy. But overall this is pretty sure not a bad or catastrophic game.
