Part one was utterly forgettable and boring, played the remaster and it gave me nothing.
No idea how this got popular, but then console crowd has awful taste.
It gets popular on a shallow level. Good graphics, professional story delivery. Complex thoughts about the whole picture is too much for the average joe

I played about 60% of it, I found the story grating because it bashes you over the head with the same plot point over and over and over.. maybe so the average joe can understand what is going on.
I could understand why someone would highly rate the game Remedy did a good job but meh.

I got the Deluxe version so it’s included with the expansion pass
Not surprised they’re releasing a physical version either.
I heard sales weren’t good so that’s probably why.
Alan Wake 2’s Lake House Expansion is expected to be released on October 22, 2024.
Apparently there is an Xbox event tomorrow which will feature the Lake House DLC.
