finished main and dlc...did all side quests too...much as the first game if u dont do side quests there is like more than half of the map unnexplored, not to mention ur underleveled, but they are good enough, tallnecks, ruins and cauldrons are nice too, the rest is much bloat, savegame says 60h so in line with first game.

dlc being ps5 only improved on the gameplay a bit and some other technical stuff, like main town is so much bigger than the biggest town from main game, and populated, more enemies on screen, bigger areas, the cloud system, that ending boss etc

the game did improved over time once the story gets going but in the end the story is weak and stupid, the combat still too many enemy varietions of the same enemy type, but still worth the play in the end, graphics are really next gen, if first game was a solid 8-9 then this is like a 7-8

Was lvl 48 I think, maxed out legendary hunter bow, did it 1st attempt on normal, went smooth with corrosion arrows and then advance hunter arrows or whatever they are called. Maybe lvl difference did the thing
Try the corrosion sling to inflict corroded status asap and then the armor pieces fall off quickly. I did not get stun locked in this one

Visuals, exploring, actually very well done NPCs and voice acting, .... While not as good as the first one, it's still one of the better Ubisoft-like open world games imo.

It really helps if you are in to slow cinematic story based action adventures tbh these games are no really for souls-like or character action fans for example, personally they kinda give me the same vibes as the Witcher games very chill and relaxing (and pretty sure they used them as a blueprint).

The DLC was meh and decline imo. The last fight was spectacular on paper but gave me ulcers.

I'm into well written games. The first one wasn't it, so probably I don't feel motivated to give the 2nd one a proper chance.

Well then just move on it's not for everyone that's for sure but what games are.
For me these Sony AAA games are more like comfort food and i don't really expect them to be much more then that.

When you read the reviews for these games, you'd think they are the 2nd coming of <insert whatever old game you find amazing>.

And I moved on, I just wanted to give my 2 cents on the subject. Smile

Finally finished the game. Can't say it was better then first game.

Much improvements all over but story seemed lacking one thing that hooked me up in the last game. I figured we would fight Nemesis but I guess we waiting for third game.

Some interesting fights as well and very beautiful places to visit. DLC wasn't that bad either but Londra was stupid.

Think I could give it most 7/10

I hated that in DLC Aloy suddenly has hots for some random girl that we know like for 5 minutes while dissmissing everyone in base game.

Seyka is the first person similar to Aloy that is attracted to her. If you take other "candidates" (Avad?, Erend? Very Happy ) it kind of make sense. I know there is also Talanah, but she is showed to be attracted to men.
Also you are given a choice at the end. The whole scene is a little bit awkward if you go "not interested" route, but still it is nice devs put that choice there. I'm not sure if devs already confirmed what the canon choice would be, but considering how Aloy is driven to her mission/legacy/whatever, it would be either "fist" or "brain" choice (either is fitting).
Personally I think it is written well enough to believe Aloy might have developed some feelings, but considering it is new for her it might be difficult to act on it (note that it is less than a year since Rost died, so she is most likely not experienced in the "feelings" stuff).
If not for all those wokeness bullshit we see everywhere, probably nobody would be so outraged. I would prefer if they would go with a male character if they are going any kid of romance path as it was clear that the choice devs did will be a controversial one. But that might have been the idea from the start Smile

AMD saved the day again with release of FSR 3.1. Now I can finally play this in 60 fps, with high settings, which already feels (and looks!) absurd but what is even crazier is that I don't need to use any upscaler, just the frame gen magic Mr. Green
Now it runs better than Ghost of Tsuhsima (same settings) and looks like 10x better (ok, ok.. maybe 5x Wink ). Haven't seen any open world game looking this good, which is 100x more impressive than small area game like Senua2 or Callisto.

As for the game itself, prologue is somewhat borring but when the game opens up it's really nice, if you played the 1st one you can clearly see all the small but significant improvements. We'll see how it holds up but it looks like I may end up enjoying this more than Ghost of Tsushima

The first game looks incredibly good too, these two games are the best looking PC games together with Rockstar's games + Uncharted 4.

Lots of talent here among the artists + great tech.

I just wish it had a way, way better protagonist, that alone could make this among my favorite games. but nah, gotta have an obnoxious, cold, humorless lesbian female, because its 2023/24. No bigger interest in going back in to finish the second, but i'll probably at least check it out because of the graphics.
