I've had to use a FOV hack and reshade on this game, it's not sharp enough... And the camera view is horrendous!

using a FOV hack in a horror game is a terrible idea i'm afraid. the chromatic aberration and shitty clarity are also part of the experience, as painful as that sounds.

I got as far as doing the benchmark test, added DLSS and it still looks like pure shit. I suppose you have to use a reshade to sharpen or something.

Reading this thread was more painful than playing through the game, and that's saying a lot
It's as if the devs said: "Let's make Dead Space, but without the satisfying gunplay or the rewarding sense of exploration and discovery that a giant interconnected spaceship can provide. Let's just keep it linear and viscerally cinematic, where 25% of the game is spent squeezing into tight spaces, another 25% belongs to watching cutscenes and/or scripted QTEs, and finally, in the remaining 50% the player must jiggle between awkwardly dodging + smashing copypasta mutants and blasting the pea gun/shotgun since they're designed to complement each other. It will be great!"
The general idea was to give the classic formula new flavours whilst avoiding the clone effect which is understandable and even admirable to some degree, but Jesus H. Callist, this was clearly not the path to take
Every interaction that belongs to the main gameplay loop became stale quickly (for obvious reasons) and the promising story deflated like a worn-out balloon filled with clichés. I was still able to finish the isodemo because I liked the gritty art direction and solid presentation free from pansy currentyear-y sins (and because it was fairly short, definitely a plus here), but it truly is one of the biggest cases of potential being squandered for bizarre and almost unintelligible reasons.

Decided to give this a shot and found it more enjoyable than I expected, but my saves keep getting corrupted.
I thought this might be a yarr issue, but I found posts of legit game owners who reported the same issue.
After 1 hour and 47 minutes I had to replay almost 20 minutes of gameplay, and after playing for another 40 minutes I had to replay 30 minutes.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

I gave it a free isodemo try as well and yep. reviews weren't kidding, this may look good but gameplay & performance are completely broken with no fun to be had.

Ehh just finished it. It wasn't so bad. Combat is trash and the environments are too repetitive, but it was alright. DLC was trash though

I dropped it half way through. Setting is interesting, it looks really good, but the gameplay is just not that great. How many times the same scripted jump scares and grab scares can one game have? And it is getting annoying pretty fast.
Never played Dead Space, so maybe i need to fix that to have some comparison.

I bought the Dead Space remake for PS5, i just couldn't get into it. Tried the new Resident Evil 4, same thing. Both games looks great. I think i'm just over these games completely, they're just not very fun to play.
