Yesterday I was playing the game and the performance was ~35-40 fps on my laptop (2k, dlss balanced, rtx maxed out, all cinematic), but today for some reason I was getting 20 fps and changing settings didn't help much if at all.
Reinstalled nvidia drivers, tried different versions, no luck. Then I found a tip on Reddit , I'll quote "delete the "Config" folder in C:\Users\[your_username]\AppData\Local\b1\Saved and restart the game"
And it actually did help All the settings got reset, I then set the same graphics settings and the game now runs as it used to before glitching out.

same here. sometimes the fps will just suddenly start tanking with gpu load hovering around 60%. what helps in my case is to adjust the resolution scaling slider, confirm, and then revert to original settings.
oh and if you have an HDR display + Nvidia you should absolutely check out NV RTX HDR. it looks gorgeous (minimize the performance hit w the NPI tweak).
OK..I think I'm done with the game Whiteclad noble is just ridiculous I just don't have the time anymore (family and stuff) to deal with this kind of bullshit (wasting hours on a boss)
What a gorgeous game though and the setting is great.
PS I'll play FF16 when it gets released instead, I liked the demo and the combat
Looks like they also took the cryptic questlines and secret bosses approach from From Software games.
Every chapter seems to have a "secret area" and a "secret king" boss.
