How can this be a good gæm? It has no girlboss purple hair tranny of color! Everyone is walking and running, so obviously ableist as fuck as well. Where are the wheelchair astares? Where are the visually impaired traitorous scum?
This is just toxic masculinity in a nutshell. No wonder WAB likes it.
Rumor has it that the lead writer was a troon...
Still, game looks great and by all reports seems to be pretty good so hopefully it will be a huge hit.
Hopefully it will also wonderfully contrast with dragon age: failguard failing hard
I have nothing against non-activists, who can’t keep their “identities” from spilling into everything they do. Everyone is free to live their lives however they see fit.
PCGamer are a ridiculously corpo-friendly laughing stock but this part was bothering me too from the various gameplay videos, Ă la Eternal:

For your first couple of hours of fights, it looks and feels awesome, but unfortunately it's not long before cracks start to show. The biggest problem is those executions which at first feel so cool. Other than the swarming minions, every enemy will enter that stunned state once they're at low enough health, and because executions are one of your only ways to mitigate damage, it's always to your advantage to perform them. The result is that you're constantly sprinting between flashing red foes to watch the same canned animations over and over, a problem that only escalates as the game sends increasing numbers of elite troops at you in its later stages.
Your two AI companions—fellow Space Marines Gadriel and Chairon—will even stun enemies for you and politely leave them for you to finish off while foes around you stand awkwardly waiting for their turn.
Couple that with the whole parry-the-big-ass-blue-circle-&-auto-pew and I can see how such a console horde-based loop can get tiresome after a few hours. The aesthetics look great though and so does the gore, so fans of the previous one will likely be satisfied.

I kinda agree tbh.
Imo this is a first and foremost coop game. The coop aspect might mitigate the negatives since all games are basically more fun in coop.
Space Marine 1 was an okay game but for me just a 7/10.
I expect the same for this one.
Edit: lol at the gif though

sounds like doom eternal mechanics, the end of visiting this game thread I guess. Like every possible derp mechanic we used to joke about a decade ago is now a requested and mandatory feature in all genre's..

All of this, exactly. Couple this with only 10–15 hours of campaign time (non-replayable because terribly linear) and a mere 6 PvE co-op missions, and it's just not enough. Like I wrote previously, people who are so hyped now will be so miserably disappointed.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the game flopped; CCs have done a "great" job of hyping it sky-high, though; and as we know, the plebs are suckers for that kind of shit.
well... manly men doing manly things with other manly men and manly physiques cherishing a manly god-man with golden armor and lots of decor .... i don't know man!
isn't the space marine the _literal_ prototype closet homosexual?
But seriously. Games are so gay now, so that when a 6/10 non homo game releases now. It feels like a 10/10 game. Just go back to early 2000s. Games were made by men for men. Not this homo shit we get now.
"No FOV slider, forced TAA and no Ultrawide support at launch is unacceptable. These are basic options to include in games now and we are missing them. Saber/Focus did the same thing with World War Z and have not learned from their mistakes again."
Game is sitting at MIXED reviews atm. with 62% positive reviews.
"PLAY NOW....with GOLD or ULTRA Edition! Fuck the rest of you destitute plebeians, there is no room for you under the Emperor's guiding light until next week!"
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
