why do streamers with massive pc rigs have very long black screen loaiding times ???
Probably because they're streamers, not PC gamers, and know fuck all about building a system and keeping it efficient and bloat-free. I'd imagine a great many of them get their rigs given to them for free in exchange for promotion - the majority of them are nothing more than dirty console peasants at heart.

Well, installed and played for 1 hour since I have no time. It does run my cpu hotter then any other game to be fair, but it runs fairly well on my 13980HX and 4080 laptop, as in everything maxed at 4k, anywhere from 50 to 80 fps with dlss set to balanced. I can gain another 10 or so fps on performance, but it doesn't really bother me to be honest. The game looks amazing and the gameplay ... well it's space marine so dunno what people were expecting, it's fine and with the good sound design feels good.
Gonna give more of an opinion once I've had time to play more. As for people complaining about length... Give me a 8 or so hour campaign that is good and well paced and I'll take it over any 40+ hour slop we get these days. Now is the campaign good? Guess I'll find out.
I played 1hr or so and the game so far slaps and runs well on a 3060 laptop.
About time we had a many men violent game instead of the gay shit thats 99% of the modern gaming landscape these days.
I can see why so many are praising it, just wish we could rid of the pause-on-hit garbage as it hampers momentum imo.

That... has a high probability to be true.
Bet these fuckers never reset / start their PC with a screwdriver by linking proper nodes on the MB...
(back in '64 I used to keep my PC 'open' / caseless for... don't remember / various reasons)

I've run without the side of my case on for my last 3 systems. Temps are great, dust really isn't an issue (at least no more than usual), and it's one less thing to fuck with if I need to change out a component.
Never shorted it with a screwdriver to restart though, I don't have the disposable income to be that ballsy!

Played for 30 minutes but to me it feels like a console port.
- No HDR support
- No DLSS 3 support
- No ultrawide support
- No FOV slider
- No RTX
I'm going to wait for the ultrawide patch that should come later this month.
The FOV makes it feel mega consolish, other than that i was feeling like absolute gigachad while shredding and shooting everything to pieces, very nice GFX and sounds, good time waster. Will wait for UW + FOV patch tho, then i will continue playing.
Did leo get banned for bullyspamming headshot lol?
I don't watch everything he posts, but I appreciate the effort he puts into keeping all the various threads up to date with trailers/previews/reviews etc.
NO LINKS TO ILLEGAL STUFF IN SIGS - DLC IS ILLEGAL TOO

Same. There's so little activity in here some days it's nice to get SOME content related to a game/thread, even if it's low quality YT commentators.
Not sure what the beef is between those two, but there's not enough of us left for silly infighting like that. Now kiss and make up. NO HOMO!

Im guessing there was a post that took it too far and is now deleted
Anyone have an explanation why in 1440p, with the same CPU utilization it runs 10-15 degrees cooler then on 4k? Is it doing something retarded like use the iGPU for something just cause I connect it to an external monitor?
Space Marine 2 saw a huge 24-hour peak concurrent player count of 225,690 on Steam, the highest peak ever seen for a Warhammer 40,000 game on Valve’s platform, alongside a ‘very positive’ user review rating. Indeed, Space Marine 2 is now the most-played Warhammer 40,000 or Warhammer game ever on Steam. To put the launch into context, Space Marine 2 knocked Total War: Warhammer 3’s 166,754 peak concurrents into second place.

Well, I finished it and it's good. It's mostly what I expected from a sequel to the original Space Marines. It's executed well, sounds and looks great and while the writing isn't anything to marvel at, it works. The gameplay can get a bit repetitive, but I didn't mind too much, maybe if it was longer it would have been a problem, but as it stands I'm satisfied.
It's not an amazing game, but if you like 40k, then it's great. It's one of the few games I actually finished in the past year, and maybe it not being overly long helped, but it's also one of the few I had interest in.
As a minus, the game does like to fry your CPU for no reason. I had to severely limit PL1 and PL2, like more then half it to get decent temps, and I didn't lose fps for it like with disabling the boost all together, so I don't get what the game is pushing that hard for, especially since menus push the temps the most.
