Demo footage provided to Insider Gaming (under the condition that the footage doesn’t go public) shows the user going from the Infinity hub to Assassin’s Creed Red within just a few seconds, picking up where they left off, rather than having to boot the games up individually after ‘falling back’ to the hub.
The main focus of Infinity is a live service offering, which is all told via the modern-day story. To start, Infinity will launch on the same day as Red andwill contain several features that you would expect from a live service.
Quote:
‘The Exchange’ will be the item shop , offering players the opportunity to purchase daily and weekly in-game cosmetics for Red’s two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. In addition to The Exchange, Infinity also has a ‘Synchronisation’ feature that allows the player to access ‘Projects’ for each protagonist. To explain them in their simplest form, Projects are mini ‘battle passes’ with a narrative behind them offering players the ability to earn cosmetic rewards. Projects will be added throughout Infinity constantly, focusing mainly on DLC and new game releases, or even as a means of sustaining player interest during a lack of any new content.
Quote:
It’s understood that the current strategy for Ubisoft with Infinity is to release a mainline game every two years, with smaller experiences in between. Red is scheduled for later this year, with Invictus – a multiplayer offering – being planned for 2025, and Hexe for 2026. The latter title, penned as being ‘the darkest Assassin’s Creed game ever’, will have a lead female protagonist (currently named Elsa) for the first time since Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China in 2015.
Other projects include Obsidian (Black Flag Remake), Nebula (settings based in India, Aztec Empire, and Mediterranean), Raid (a free-to-play 4-player co-op that’s PvE), Echoes (another multiplayer title), and another Assassin’s Creed Remake which are all scheduled to release by the end of the decade.

After all, it's the predestined Futhurr of our hobby and no matter the failures Tripe-A companies will try to shove that down the gamers' throats until they lose any sense of smell and taste like a gangrenous CoV-GaaS variant.

This has just ensured I will never, EVER buy a ubishit game again. Actually, at the rate they are spewing forth utter shite games exclusively, I will probably never even touch any of them.
The sooner ubishit dies out, the better foreveryone.

it actually makes a lot of sense as to why the color palette and tone of games these days is pure estrogen. I'm not saying that those games should not exist at all, but it is retarded to expect them to do well in a 90% straight male customer demographic.
Tbh my theory with certain companies is that the ceos do the worst decisions possible so their stock value drops so they can buy them cheap at the lowest point and resell them when they personally implement things to get more profit again. Why else would they abandon steam again while they are obviously shitting the bed? And if someone fires the ceo for that they ll probably have a golden parachute anyways. What would stop them from doing it?

*puts on tinfoil hat*
You're not too far off I did think about this as well. Too many decisions are so retarded it's pretty much deliberate sabotage. At that level, business is a far more complicated world than just delivering good product to your customers.
They KNOW what works, they'll just fall back on it when they need their stocks to go up.
I'll never buy another ubisoft game again. Even putting their current day bullshit to one side, those fuckers deleted my account due to inactivity some time back deleting my library.
Their online "customer service" is made up of bots, though. I mean, this was already the case 3–4 years ago when the use of AI wasn't nearly as widespread as it is today.
I did have issues linking my ubishit account to steam. I ended up creating a new account – good thing there was only a trial version game on the previous one.

Ubisoft’s Board is Launching an Investigation Into The Company Struggles
It has been announced that Ubisoft’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors will launch an investigation and review of the company.
The news came via a company financial statement and update, which included the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the announcement that Star Wars Outlaws underperformed. The statement read:
“In the light of recent challenges, we acknowledge the need for greater efficiency while delighting players. As a result, beyond the first important short-term actions undertaken, the Executive Committee, under the supervision of the Board of Directors, is launching a review aimed at further improving our execution, notably in this player-centric approach, and accelerating our strategic path towards a higher performing model to the benefit of our stakeholders and shareholders.
Finally, let me address some of the polarized comments around Ubisoft lately. I want to reaffirm that we are an entertainment-first company, creating games for the broadest possible audience, and our goal is not to push any specific agenda. We remain committed to creating games for fans and players that everyone can enjoy.”
At the time of writing, Ubisoft stock has decreased to 11.42 euros and has drastically fallen these past few months. Last month, Insider Gaming reported that XDefiant was at risk of losing its much-needed post-launch support after dwindling player numbers and following the release of a mild Star Wars: Outlaws launch, Ubisoft’s stock price fell to a near 10-year low.
Speaking with current and former Ubisoft employees, I am told that the move was inevitable and “the writing was on the wall,” as many Ubisoft studios have been struggling due to poor management. While I have reported on some of these issues in the past, Insider Gaming will have a more in-depth report in the coming days or weeks.

Good one, ubishit
