personally with the right project, less purple haired activists this game would had the potential to be as popular as BG3. Dragon age is a well known IP and right now, everything that goes against the DEI sells like hotcakes.

I think you underestimate how many people are into dnd. Meanwhile the last dragon age was released 10 years ago, and Bioware has only had flops since and their image even degraded to the mainstream audience.

I said it before and I'll keep saying it, if you ever see over represented purple in a game's visual design, it's made primarily for the gay and will not vibe with you, it sure isn't made for me.
The prehurrdurr numbers are apparently rather low so having several journo & utub bootlickers strategically lined up was a necessity for a company that's on its last legs and can't afford another fiasco. Expect Bioware is so back(tm) metareviews as well, the usual circus. Hopefully the actual reception will be different as it's only through failures that a positive change can be achieved, however, I reckon it's already too late for that since a sizeable part of the tripe-A industry is beyond redemption.
