Cynical me first tought that this was a reversed 80s kid movie. The creature would turn into something devilish and disturbing. It's A24 after all. But no! They're making an 80s kid movie with A24 resources. I'm kinda sold, moreso because the creature seems practical, and done by the same craftsmen as the Dark Crystal puppeteers from new NF series

I’m surprised this exists. Chapter 1 wasn’t good apparently but it looks like 3 movies are planned with Chapter 3 scheduled for 2025.

At first I thought it was Jackie Chan de-aged lol but it’s Ke Huy Quan. Haven’t seen him in anything since Short Round from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Data from The Goonies Very Happy
