Here's my review (took 2 seconds with chatGPT, asking for a positive review) Laughing

Review: Dragon Age: Veilguard
Rating: ★★★★★

When I first dove into Dragon Age: Veilguard, I was expecting a good RPG experience, but what I got was so much more. This game feels like a breath of fresh air in the genre while still staying true to what made the original Dragon Age titles so compelling.

One of the biggest highlights of Veilguard is its incredibly diverse cast of characters. From a sly dwarven thief with a penchant for poetry to a gentle Qunari mage questioning the traditions of her people, every companion brings a unique perspective to the table. It’s clear that the writers took their time crafting stories that felt authentic and meaningful. And the banter between them? Absolute gold. I found myself lingering in the party selection screen, just to see what crazy interactions I could set up next.

Visually, the game is a treat. The environments are both sprawling and detailed, with lush forests, haunting ruins, and vibrant cities. The attention to detail really shines, and each area feels alive. I was blown away by the little touches in the game world—such as the way leaves flutter in the breeze or how the lighting changes as the day progresses. The game’s visual style strikes a perfect balance between fantasy and realism, immersing players without feeling too gritty.

One of Veilguard’s strengths lies in its quirky sense of humor. Yes, you’ll be making weighty decisions about the fate of kingdoms, but there’s also an unexpected lightness in moments. One minute, you’re dealing with political intrigue, and the next, you’re helping a lovesick elven bard write the perfect breakup song. These lighter moments blend seamlessly with the more intense narrative beats, giving the game a unique and enjoyable pacing.

And, as any RPG fan knows, choices are paramount. Veilguard delivers on that front spectacularly. The dialogue choices feel genuinely impactful, shaping your relationships with companions and affecting the world in tangible ways. Every decision feels like it matters, and I often found myself sitting at the screen, weighing my options long after the conversation wheel appeared. It’s refreshing to play a game where the consequences of your actions ripple throughout the entire story.

In short, Dragon Age: Veilguard is a must-play for fans of narrative-driven RPGs. It has that classic Dragon Age feel but isn’t afraid to break new ground. With its fun and quirky moments, beautiful graphics, and meaningful choices, it’s easily one of my favorite RPGs in recent years. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series or new to the franchise, Veilguard has something magical in store for you.

funnily enough bioware is telling people "if they know what a RPG even is" (when getting criticized for the tranny inspired character generator).

TBH, this looks all sorts of bad and bland. Aesthetically and thematically this has nothing in common with DA:O. Very simplified with forced narratives. Not compelling, tbh.

I think we all understand that - just saying that the generic installer they opt for provides peace of mind as it never false flags AV solutions (and if it does come up, you know something's up with the source). That, and they're usually pretty quick on releasing updates as well. Glad they're around regardless, even if some may frown upon them as being lowly repackers.

What's up with all these fucked-up weirdos crawling out of the woodwork?
And apparently having so much reach they can ruin a multi-millions enterprise such as DA:TV so badly that this shit will absolutely bomb because of it?
How blind can these execs be?

Execs don't play their own games, they are also lazy/complicit to all the bullshit going on. There's a toxic culture of positivity, so nobody speaks up when shit is bad. Then on the outside all the reviewers kiss your ass, and when you ask why the game is failing you blame it on the bigots who hate the diversity.

I was about to use the same expression. The dialogues are even worse than expected - and I expected them to be baaaaaad. It even looks like there's hardly any lipsync

I hate the whole "anti-woke" movement because it's usually just a bunch of incels who hate everything they don't understand or that they feel threatened by

bunch of touchy ass snowflakes who feel like random ass shit that will never affect their actual life does somehow matter and therefor needs to be fought against.

I mean so what some silly ass kids want to be trans, or fluid or whatever.

kids always wanted to be some stupid shit, I remember emos and furries or animefags that suddenly started running like Naruto characters wherever they went

but this shit is some pitiful ass pandering that the game definitely didn't need

i mean it's a fantasy game set in a foreign universe, where people don't quite talk like they do here, we got random ass races that don't exist in our world, monsters, dragons, different cultures and customs

but somehow that fantasy universe absolutely needed to adopt one of our contemporary (and hopefully temporary) social developments? for some cringe virtue signaling like that?

big, fucking, oof.

hope bioware and EA simply die off

More retarded than i had even imagined.

It sometimes sounds like AI too, "make my mother hap-py." small slip-ups that are common when you make AI dialogue, sounds very stiff and one-note too, also typical AI trained voice.

These leftist retards really wants to fuck up and confuse young people, it's really infuriating.
