Basic as in music, anime/videos and ofcourse gaming
My actual ones are some +10 year old Logitech Z320, with the left one's rubber surrounding the speaker peeling off from it's bottom area , revealing the electronics inside and, besides of looking horrible, they make sometimes a buzzing sound, low but i can hear it
I've been reading around and while i like the details in audio, i don't wanna pay a shit ton of money... And again just the speakers, that means NO SUBWOOFER BOX NO MATTER THE SIZE. And the speakers will be placed on the table (Duh, but i know some likes to wall mount em or something, hence the mention)
I was looking for another Logitech set, the Z200 or Z207, but some people are saying that while they're still 10W they don't sound as good as mine. They cost 43€ and 60-70€ respectively. Is it true?
Some people makes an "honorable mention" to the CREATIVE "Pebble" V2/3. I've read that it doesn't requires a power cable for the wall but a USB C or even with a C to A adapter. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the USB?. Does it requires software to be configured this time now?
And compared to my actual set, what are the changes (Sound quality, etc)?
The CREATIVE "Pebble" V2 costs 23-27€. The V3 38€ (Bluetooth's the only change or...?)
If possible as black coloured as possible.
Any other brands to look for?

I got the creative pebbles for background music in my office setup in front of my monitor.
I got these:
https://www.amazon.com/Creative-USB-Powered-Speakers-Far-Field-Radiators/dp/B0791H74NT?th=1
If you want any bass, and I mean ANY. dont get them. They sound good mids and highs, but the bass is non existent. I dont mean weak, or a bit lacking. I mean on part with stock laptop speakers level of bass.
They work for me, as mine usually only play ambient or instrumental jazz at very low volume as just a 'quietly there' sort of musicscape on my desk. My echo dot has more bass than them, and it's a baseball sized cheap alexa. I would not recommend them if you are looking for any level of dynamic range fullness.

I have that Edifier model, it's probably overkill for computer use, but I'm very satisfied. It has SPDIF input so there is no loss due to analog cable (it also supports analog input ofc) so the sound quality is just fantastic (for the price).

Well, since i'm mostly used to mines that doesn't seems to have any kind of bass then it shouldn't be a problem. What i don't get is why people says to avoid the actual Logitech ones?..Although they also mention the CREATIVE ones (All Pebble versions) as "Flat audio", something my speakers and the 2-3 to pmentioned ones seems to have too?.
FYI mines tends to have it's volume wheel at ~35% while the system's always at 100%. For movies/anime i gotta pump it up to 45-50% depending of how badly encoded the video is.
As for EDIFIER i've been checking em and they're way too big and sure they might sound better, but also costier. I know, price-quality and all, but i don't need that much.

Well I also have Logi Z200 on another machine (which is ironically primary gaming machine for the kids and sometimes me) and I can't complain on them either, sound is warm and nice (I played a lot of Pillars of Eternity and Skyrim on them, where music is symphonical so it would sound like shit otherwise), and they even have the bass (I can hear it in another room because Stumble Guys have very bassy music).
So I think you can't be wrong with them either.

@DV2
For the price, and trying to stay under $20 get the pebbles. But otherwise id recommend anything else.
As I said they are not bad for my use. I needed tiny speakers to sit under my monitor to stream alexa low volume jazz/ambient/'elevator music' type stuff while I work or game. For the $17 I spent on them, and them fitting under my monitor on my desk they work fine for my particular use case of me turning them up JUST loud enough to notice sound is coming out of them.
But they really do not sound much better than generic laptop speakers (actually the speakers in my MSI laptop sound slightly better if I compare them). I dont know why people recommend them for any real type usage, even for say TV. As i'd argue TV Speakers sound just as good as them.
Don't know if you are old enough to remember 80s-90's alarm clocks with a radio. They sound slightly better than those did:

Welp... It's been done. The moment i re-connected the Logitech ones (after being gently placed on my bed) to compare sounds they made a "Brrrrmmmmzzz" sound before their quality dropped like the music played more from within the box than the speaker itself...

Now i gotta deal with the new ones, set to 50% volume wheel instead of 25%

I was surprised about Edifier G2000, has "gaming" looks but they sound very good for their price and size, has also sub out if you want to add it later. I needed basic speakers that fit below my monitor, was good purchase for only 50 euros, was in sale tho.

I just had one of my front speakers in my old Logitech 5.1 pc speaker set up go out so was looking for a cheap replacement and picked up the Pebble v2 speakers. By themselves, they are not as great as all the reviews made them out to be and they were not great as front speakers so I ended up making my 2 rear speakers the front ones and plugged the Pebbles in as being the rear speakers and they seem fine for that.
Some of the reviews on the Pebbles mentioned if you place them on a small box on your desk that helps give them a bit of a bass sound but I did not try that. I will have to take my Logitech subwoofer to an electronics repair shop and see if they can fix the RCA jack or whatever the issue ends up being.

@Arukardo I used to have Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 many many years ago since it was recommended as one of the best speakers 10 years ago? I'm not sure how they still hold up after all those years.
