Here's hoping that this will be the decent and solid sukablyat game that we've been waiting for and not be infected with the D... Can't friggin wait for it mens
Hopefully they had god mode enabled there. Too bullet-spongy for my taste (and for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game).
Indeed, that was some genuine Commando-like showreel, probably to attract consoleros in search of a Call of Duty replacement
I'm not too concerned about that though, since the game supposedly will have 3-4 difficulty options - and I bet various hardcore breeki mods will appear as soon as possible. The atmosphere, locations and actual gunplay/animations look solid which is promising.
The bullet-sponging isn't worrying to me, they're probably playing in babby mode for the trailer and even the original was like this in the lower difficulty settings, right?
What I find a bit annoying is seemingly no new locations
The regular ones are probably changed from the old games, sure, but even then I hope they thrown in some new maps.

i have a feeling a lot of ppl will be sorely disappointed once the curtains raise on this one
I set my expectations way way low (I know heresy) when they announced it was developed for consoles as well
Ixigia did you make one of your "consolified go-to-waypoint etc" photoshop of this one?
Haha as a matter of fact I made one many years back when the bloodyscreensoreal(tm) was rampant
My expectations are also almost constantly set to low settings, it's the only way for a cynic to approach modern gaming and survive its minefield. Most of the time that's still not enough and the I expected nothing and I'm still let down applies , but deep down inside I always hope for ̶a̶ ̶p̶o̶s̶i̶t̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶p̶r̶i̶s̶e an anomaly to materialize.
Next major game release I'm looking forward to, hopefully it'll be a really fun experience. Lots of fond memories from the original game and its two side-titles or what to call them, and despite the jank and roughness at that.
Not sure what to expect, Metro was fun but this has the exploration and larger scale though both did wonders with immersion and atmospheric storytelling. Chernobylite gets a mention too for that though its a little bit diffferent in addition to the randomly generated map and mission content.
Hell, there isn't much for me to say lately, I still game even if I've been more active in the goings on in the East, been replaying older games or doing simpler laid-back gaming on the console systems so, little to nothing to really say there.
Here's hoping for some fancy campfire singing and tall tales!
Though apparently some of them already got sliced into pre-order dealies, modern gaming and its drawbacks.

I pre-hurrdurred the Ultimate Edition for around 25 bucks last year when they were still using pesos in the Mileiland Steam store. Today that same edition is $79

Same but I think mine's just the regular version:

Right now I'm only expecting disappointment in the performance aspect. Gameplay-wise I'm not too worried especially after all the detailed previews and gameplay videos we've already seen so far.
If performance is crap on release I will just delay the playthrough for a few months if necessary.
