The point of sports marketing is just making your brand known in the long run. Just so people know the brand. A game isn't a brand, it has to sell a shit load of copies the first month and otherwise it has failed.
It's not gonna sell them any games. No one is gonna notice it on an Alpine anyway
since they already have a third person mode (that activates sometimes, depending on what you do), why not do like in Skyrim, you can switch to third person, seems like fighting several enemies would benefit from that.
i really have my doubts about this, wonder if it's going to be even close to e.g Uncharted 4, it certainly doesn't look better, even graphically.
Highly doubt it's as good as Uncharted 4, one of the best games i've played in the last 20 years, and i'm someone who usually HATES linear games with a passion.
These people were impressed by Dragon Age: Transguard too btw
I don't know if you watched the video or not, but the point wasn't if it was better, worse or as good as Uncharted, it was that it isn't that kind of game at all (and thank god) or the kind of the Tomb Raider reboot series. Now, if after trying it you think Uncharted is a better game overall, that's fine, just not my thing.
In my case if it turns out good I will buy it just like I bought the Wolfenstein games (minus the one without B.J. Blazkowicz) made by the same developer. I'm just not pre-ordering and will wait for reviews and reactions after release.
Saying it's not that kind of game at all is really weird. Unchartered is a mix of adventure and action, you have slow levels with only sneaking. You have your room with all the artifacts from your adventures, this game also has this. They absolutely share many similarities it seems.
If someone highly dislike Uncharted, it's very doubtful you will like this i think.
They only played a small part of the game, if you only play a small part of Uncharted 4 you might think it's a rather slow sneaking and adventure game only, it's not.
If this is like Uncharted but more open, i'll probably really like it. It's how they seem to present it here, we'll see how true that is, if i'ts like one small portion of the game only or not. It's not like Uncharted 4 doesn't have levels where you can wander around quite a bit and which are quite open. Though they did say you can take missions/quests in the order you prefer here (at least one one map?), so that is at least different. And yes, its first person, something which can add to immersion..
Doesn't look bad, but i got more and more positive about Outlaws too as more was shown (well, up until a point) and it ended up sucking ass.. definitely wait for reviews..
everything can't be shit, so at least it's a 50/50 chance of it being good
Admittedly I care little about Indy, but the tone seems authentic-ish and the immersive sim-like elements look pretty interesting (on paper). Wouldn't mind giving it a whirl when it hits Yarr Pass
According to "sources" the pre-orders are absolutely abysmal. I wonder why... i mean it can't have anything to do with the latest Indy movie, can it. Or games like SW Outlaws making people think twice.
I also wonder why they're not showing anything with the female that seems to be someone who will follow you along the journey. Only recently did i see someone mention this, it's almost like they want to hide that part.
Everyone is going to be playing on Game Pass which affects preorders and sales, surely?
I bet if they’d offered a pay to play early option, preorders would be better?
