- Polished side-scrolling platformer with combo's gore etc.
- Had cool set piece bosses.
- Was flexible in the level design scale that made the levels fun to play through.
- The artstyle focused on the greek gods and spartans.
These new games arn't really god of war games.
side scroller huh? been a long time since you played God of War i see.
God of War 2018 had some good set pieces as well and wasn't a bad game at all. That scene with Kratos on the boat and he starts hallucinating and sees Athena? With the chanting in the background and sky turning red? Gave me fuckin chills. That was some GREAT fan service.
The new one was a rehash of 2018 with some added teen drama as well as awful side characters to pad out the cinematics. It was made for a new generation.. it was like if there was a WB series made about God of War.
I put a few hours into the Valhalla DLC and honestly I’m blown away by the amount of stuff for a free download.
Anyone who enjoyed and completed the base game needs to play this.
Even if you don’t like rogue-likes, I highly recommend playing this.
It’s seriously impressive and has some awesome additional content and cool surprises!
