Made it to the Vatican map and did some sight seeing. So far, it's good, it's very, very good.
Clunky too, running feels weird, and combat comes down to mashing the punch buttons. But exploration is fun, and story so far is good too.
I see where the Hitman-light reference comes from (open map, restricted areas, disguises to access them, stealth and hiding enemies, ...).
It runs pretty ok on my 2080, playing on medium settings. I wasn't really convinced of the graphics in the preview videos, but even on medium it looks very good. It started at around 80 fps but dropped to 60 after playing for a bit, and the Vatican map being the biggest so far.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
im also around 2h in and technically it is very well made, it really looks like a forth old indi movie, troy baker does a really good ford voice, sometimes u can tell its him but most of the time it sounds exactly like ford, down to how he behaves etc.
but gameplay so far its a bit too simple, ai is dumb, u can pretty much run at every enemy and smack them fast, exploring is nice, reminded me of dishonored
still too early but at this point uncharted made it more exciting
I can't wait for Monday
Indy is a legend as always
Why wait for monday?
The new patch is going to include graphic updates, and who knows what else. A walk key would also be nice

Yea he's right about the derp factor fucking it, always the way.
I think it was safe to say that it was going to be fairly easy. At least it stings less as it's not a sequel to something that had better AI, eg: STALKER > STALKER2, Hitman Blood Money > Hitman children's edition, and so on.
One saving grace might be mods. It seems it's on a modded version of DOOM Eternal's engine, which had a tonne of mods even before they officially added support.
I have the feeling that the performance of the Game Pass version (with Pathtracing disabled) is way worse than the performance on the rune version Getting close to 100 fps sometimes using rune version and the Game Pass version runs with 40-60 fps.
It also seems that restarting the game sometimes drastically changes FPS in the same scenes?

Just the Todd pitching in that bethesda technical mastery
The thing is I have no explanation why this happens. Every time I start the game it takes 5 more minutes to launch. Never seen anything like that in my 30 plus years gaming experience. It's gremlins, what else could it be.

I'm guessing it might be shader caching, and for some reason, instead of showing a loading screen, they just shows your desktop for whichever time it takes to process them

I was thinking it could be shader compile/caching but cpu stays at idle. Usually shader compile slams CPU at 100% usage.
