I finally got mine

If you can get a modern game that runs well, like RE2make, it really is fantastic

90hz + 90FPS + HDR, it looks and feels incredible

Pretty interesting to see how many games actually reach 90FPS+ without the old cap

Human Revolution for example, I didn't think it'd be that high and smooth maxed out

Sucks how Yakuza 4/5/6 are all capped at 60 as I'm sure they'd go much higher

New thumbsticks are great too

Ya I got one, finally a home for the half tb of Emulation stuff I rarely use. The emu-deck install + just using the EmulationStation is very good. Outside setting which emulator to use everything has worked out the box just copying roms and bios into the default folders.

I'm sure modern games are awesome too, I just can't find any I'm interested in playing.

Yeah super impressed with the console. Ryujinx emulator works really nicely with Switch games too

Have you tried the new Prince of Persia on it? How's it run on the deck?

I just finished OG FF7 on the Deck

You can use this for mods and get things looking great. You download them within 7th Deck itself, no messing around with files once it's installed

Wanted to ask how folks are liking the deck (OLED version) these days since its been a few months now? Still relatively decent, performance-wise?

Any cons to the device beyond some obvious things like upgrading it? (aside from drive space)

I picked up my original Deck yesterday to sell it, and the difference in the weight + screen is very noticeable now

Otherwise, it's about the same. I still play it every day

Nice. I’ve been reading that while it may not be the best hardware, the ergonomics and steam itself factor very highly for most users. Thanks!

Nah, it sucks for a lot of games, but it works well enough for most I throw at it. If a game dips below 60 I won't bother. I would say I have easily played it more than my PC over the past 2 years. Looking at my games list, I've played (or have ready to play):

Metal Gear Solid 2 + 3 (with mods)
4 Yakuza games
The Sinking City
Ghost Trick
Remember Me
Dead Rising
Persona 3, 4 and 5
Resident Evil 2
Pentiment
American Fugitive
Splinter Cell Blacklist
3 Life is Strange games
FF7 Crisis Core
MGSV
South Park
Mafia II

All of these run at 60 or above. Then there are the plethora of emulated games, I have a couple of Zelda Wii U games going at the moment

Plenty to do if you aren't restricted in the types of games you play!

Ah, good to know.

Can it run "isodemo" games, too?

Interesting

This could be great for PC handhelds, if Xbox games are better optimised for a handheld of its own

Nintendo will surely stop it if people start using it too much. Most likely Valve too, because they will be afraid of lawsuits. Sad
