I like both of them as Batman, in their different era's. I even liked Ben Affleck
For me, Pattinson is perfect for year 1-10 (still a bit naïve and learning, making mistakes occasionally) , Bale is perfect for year 11-20 (Bats in his prime). And Affleck's fat version was perfect for 20+ (disillusioned & grumpy)

yeah pretty much, which is why i cant say one version is better than the other couse each of them are good for what the director wanted to do. movie has some really great scenes though, very arkham origins like
I watched it yesterday. It was okeish. But its not a 8+ movie.
Compared to MCU? Compared to Zack daddy Snyder? Yeah this is cinema compared to other comic book movies. Lol. Most people who will watch this only watch CBmovies.

It looked very much like the game. The window at least lol.
They can do so much. Battison is still young. And they're doing a gcpd tv show for HBO max set in this world we may see more Arkham.
I enjoyed the shit out of this, amazing looking movie in the dark on OLED. The whole flooding subplot was stupid though.also how many times Batman gonna get shot before he learns how to dodge?
Oh and Nirvana carried this movie love how you could hear it in the background damn near half the movie.
I liked it very much. Also, I think it's great it seemed to draw some inspiration from the Arkham games.
Far from perfect though, the sfx for that wingsuit scene were a shamefur dispray. And they will need to work on that silly Joker "laugh" in that scene near the end.

So what is the general Hump consensus on The Batman? I remember watching it when it became available for download and wasn’t very impressed with the plot. I recently watched it again for the cinematography, but had a much more positive experience overall. It’s too long, and from what I read there was at least a hour more that was left on the cutting floor , but not terrible.
same as the first time, it is a very well done movie. the tone, the score, the cinematography...has some really cool scenes. but for characters and plot i still prefere tdk trilogy
I watched it years ago but I cannot tell you that I remember a single thing other than everything being orange, catwoman packing her things or something and penguin running a night club.
The overall plot suffered from the usual "lemme collectively punish everyone because i am soe just olol" plot, that even Nolan's first and last suffered from. I think Paul Dano's Riddler wasn't very good, so adding to the plot weakness, he wasn't convincing much why we should go with it, unlike, say, Ras or Bane.

It was meh-okay. Plot went nowhere, felt like the movie got chopped up in editing (reshoots?). Emo kid just lurking in subway stations to kick random thugs's asses, not getting close to making Gotham safe, not by an inch even

Reeves also had this to say about the next installment of The Batman: “As we enter into the next movie, there’s a lot more gray. There’s a lot more people at odds. There’s a lot more division in the city. It’s a lot more like our world is now, there’s a lot of turmoil because people are in their camps, and they’re not communicating.”
“How does Batman fit into that? Where do you fit? It’s not as clear as going, ‘Oh yeah, bad guy, I go after bad guys.’ And when things are in gray, it makes it very hard to be Batman, so this is part of the challenge as we enter it,” Reeves said of the new movie.

Half a decade after the first film
James Gunn said it is because the script is not done yet and it is basically a 2 year windows from when the script is done to release. Matt Reeves is just trying to do too many other things instead of finishing the script.
