Man this looks so bad. I think they took the game in the wrong direction with this. All that time they spent on it could have been used improving the open world in the base game or something. Pretty sure no one asked for it and I have no desire to play it whatsoever
Agreed. Improving the open world would be the best way to improve the game overall. The closed off sections are pretty good. I enjoyed the first open world section but after the tram ride it went downhill and became a Ubi-like crossing-checkboxes affair.
Putting all weapons and upgrades into "dungeons" was a mistake. They should've been spread around the open world to give players reason to explore. Now they just have a bunch of interesting looking locations with nothing interesting in them.

Got in to it too late when it was on Game Pass to complete it before it left, but can't bring myself to pay $35 for the Gold version (both on keysites, and currently on official sale). Didn't even realise there'd been a third DLC, but heard a lot of comments saying one of the DLCs was not great. Very surprised the keysites have stayed around that $35 price the last six months.
I really enjoyed the base game but the open world is pretty disappointing.
Exactly, just my thought, the game could have been really good, but the outdoor environments where empty and combat was really terrible because of swamping enemies, they just kept coming.
Well decided to bite the bullet, performance is completely awful, it goes from 60FPS on 1440p down to a crawl out of the fucking nowhere Unreal Engine doing what it does best I guess...
In 2017, four people decided to create something extraordinary in the computer game industry. That's when Robert Bagratuni, Evgenia Sedova, Artem Galeev, and Oleg Gorodishenin got together and founded this company. The talented global team that leads Mundfish is focused on creating original, captivating, and unique gaming experiences, just like our globally renowned first title, Atomic Heart. Mundfish Studio came to life with the intention of inspiring gamers with awe and childlike joy for gaming.
Quote:
Mundfish is a video game development studio based in Russia. We have two offices - in Moscow and St. Petersburg but we also work with remote specialists. The team consists of more than 60 people. Almost all of our developers have extensive experience in AAA projects. Mundfish team is currently working on an Atomic Heart video game. The story is about all the things that could have happened in the reality of the USSR but didn’t. The technical revolution has already occurred, robots, the Internet, holograms have already been invented, but all these innovations are immersed in the atmosphere of communism and imperialism.
